This holiday season, let’s make room for kindness. 💕 There are countless ways to give back, and helping pets in need is one of the most rewarding. From comfort to joy, here are some simple suggestions from PetSmart Charities of Canada to help pets in need.

👐 Volunteer: Reach out to your local animal welfare organization to see what opportunities there are available.

🏡 Foster: Giving pets a break from the shelter can help make them more adoptable. Look into long or short term foster volunteer opportunities. Lots of organizations even have short term or day-foster programs available to give pets a fun day out.

🐶😺🐰 Adopt: There’s no better way to help a pet in need than to give them a home for the holidays.

🎁 Donate: Shelters are often in need of supplies, so check their website for wish lists and needed items. Donating to PetSmart Charities of Canada when you shop in-store at PetSmart or directly online can also help pets in need this holiday season.

✨ After months in the shelter, these two are finally heading home—just in time for the holiday season! ✨

Daisy and Star, a pair of lovable nine-year-old sisters, had been at PetSmart Charities of Canada partner Pickering Animal Services since the summertime waiting for a new beginning. Their special bond meant they needed a home where they could stay together. 🌼⭐

A visit to the PetSmart in Pickering, ON gave them a fresh makeover, thanks to the amazing grooming team. 🐾✂️ Soon after their stunning transformation was shared by the City of Pickering, a caring family opened their hearts and home. 💕🏡

Now, thanks to the magic of adoption, these sweet sisters will celebrate the ‘howliday’ season with a family of their own. 💖

🐾 After 65 days at Oakville Milton Humane Society, Hershey found his forever home during the last PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Week at PetSmart Oakville Place, and now he’s thriving! 🐰💛

From honking noises to surprise flops, Hershey is settling in beautifully. He’s exploring his new space, bonding quickly, and has even started licking hands and chewing new toys! ✨

Hershey’s adopter shared that the adoption experience was incredibly positive, with Oakville & Milton Humane Society going above and beyond to support them. Inspired by the compassion they witnessed, they’ve even applied to volunteer and are eager to be part of the same love and care they saw in action.

Welcome home, Hershey. You’re proof that hope lives in every adoption. 💕
