Here is what I have to say about entry fees… if you cannot afford to light the money ON FIRE… don’t spend it. It’s literally all gambling.

Now, you can be sad about lighting it on fire lol. I have been sad. 🤣 But paying to play for those big checks is literally no different than playing high stakes poker… except you have to pilot another brain and hope they are feeling as confident as you that day. 😅

We ALL start from the bottom, there was definitely a time I couldn’t fathom entering a slot race, and now I have entered 4, won one and was reserve at another. Prior to that I was $10k in the hole!

The great thing about barrel racing is there is a place for everyone and a place for everyone to move up.

Nothing happens overnight. What you see today is 15+ years in the making.

If you can’t afford to enter some of those races, just be patient and keep working towards your goals. Invest your money in good bred horses and other businesses. As a general rule, this is a hobby for 90% of people. Just like fishing.

If you’re trying to make money in horses, then you will dang sure be happy that the prices are going up when you’re on the right end of it. Time passes anyways. Make the most of it.
