Did you hear? We are offering a working student position at Swell Equestrian starting January 1, 2024. We are offering you to bring your heart horse, have access to an indoor arena, raised outdoor turnout, and a even and comfortable stall. You can make use of our heated viewing room with a fridge and wifi for paperwork or taking a-break. Certified coach on site. Must be available to work weekdays, six hours per day. Live in accommodations provided.

We are hiring. Our herd is energetic and motivating to work with.

Details include 20 hours of fitness offered per week, Monday through Friday 7:30am-11:30am for a 16 horse barn.

Your warmup includes feeding horses, turning out, while your strength training includes mucking stalls and distributing bedding. In your cool down you will need an extra layer of clothes this time of year for cleaning & filling water and feed buckets, sweeping, distributing hay and grain.

This is a MEGA opportunity

We are pleased to present our third facilitator for our upcoming MEGA Officials Training Clinic, Susan Legge.

Susan is an Equestrian Canada Senior Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation Judge. Additionally, she holds the qualification of Senior National Equestrian Canada Steward. Susan judges and stewards regularly at Equestrian Canada competitions from the bronze to platinum level across Canada. A highlight of her work in 2022 was judging hunters, jumpers, and equitation classes at “The International”, held in July at Caledon Equestrian Park (Palgrave, Ontario). Recently, Susan has acted as a reporting member of the E.C. task force, studying the effects of nose band tightness on competition horses in Canada and was a participant in the subsequent webcast that reported on findings and recommendations arising from this national project. She is a passionate advocate for horse welfare.

Susan competes her own horses as an amateur rider in the national hunter and jumper rings and has enjoyed great success with her equine partners over the past forty years.
