So a return client brought his mare back to be bred, and this adorable Smoke c**t came with her 🥰 I couldn’t resist, and he’ll be joining my herds in October at weaning! Sweet sweet temperament, in your pocket and pretty nicely Foundation bred! Gotta find a perfect name, any ideas?

Mescals Poquito QT, better known as Rosie, is a 2020 grullo mare. Rosie is sired by a foundation bred QH (I fully admit this is not my area of expertise, sorry!) and her bottom side includes Mr Barbie Cody Jac, Hollywood Jac 86, Q T Poco Streke and McBear Crystal!

Rosie was bred locally (K & H Acres Quarterhorses and Corgis) and the reason I bought her was I had heard great things about the minds that her sire passed on to his foals. I was not disappointed! Rosie is only four years old this year and is one of my go to riding horses. I think she will be taken over by the kids in the not too distant future! At this point, I have no plans to breed Rosie.

Rosie is currently away working on the community pasture, to gain miles and experience, and this is the last picture I took of her before she left (please excuse the winter woollies). She will be coming home at the end of this month.

This little lady is our first BluerockDX bred foal. She’s the progeny of LLE Mescal (K&H Acres Quarter Horses) and our mare Bourbon On The Rocks. This filly is built right, friendly, intelligent, curious and easy on the eyes. We couldn’t be happier with how she turned out. One down, one still to come for our 2024 foals 😎

Little update on Ghost, he’s settling in well at his new home. One of the best feelings in raising horses is when they find a wonderful forever home with great people that will love them as much as you do ❤️❤️❤️
