Handsome Brooks is available for adoption, we don’t know what his previous life looked like but after surviving the compactor truck and being dumped in a sorting facility he has definitely burned up a couple of his 9 lives! Brooks is very friendly, he loves attention, doesn’t seem to be aggressive but he did attack a resident cat so will need proper introduction to new cat friends.

EDIT Ox has been adopted.

Oxley is hoping to find his very own home for Christmas!
He is fully vetted, loves getting snuggles and would fit into almost any home. He would need proper introduction to dogs as he’s not sure about them. He purrs and drools when he gets any sign of affection. His adoption fee is reduced to $150 due to needing to make space for emergencies . He is located in Lloydminster, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

🎄🐾 12 STRAYS OF CHRISTMAS! 🐾🎄

For the next 12 days, we will be featuring adoptable animals from shelters and rescues in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Rescue is in crisis mode right now, and there are a lot of great animals waiting for their forever homes that have been in rescue for days, months, and even YEARS.

I know the power of social media in finding homes for pets, so PLEASE SHARE these posts to help widen their reach and COMMENT that you've done so. (I can't see who shares posts) There will be a Holiday Pet Stocking up for grabs on the 13th, so each post share is an entry!

Our 6th Featured Pet is PENNER! Penner is a 9 month old neutered male available for adoption at Keen Cat Rescue. Penner is incredibly affectionate and soaks up attention like a sponge. He is fostered with other cats and a dog and does great with all.

Thank you to the Limitless Athletics Parent Cheer fundraising Committee and the kids that donated! The food, p*e pads, toys and gift cards came at the perfect time as we were holding 6 kittens and 6 puppies at the time! Much appreciated, thank you girls!

Introducing Sir Purrs-A-Lot.
This handsome panther showed up stray at a family’s house and they’ve been feeding him since august but with the colder weather coming they wanted to find a warm home for him. He will need his vaccines, neuter, microchip and deworming before he’s available for adoption. He has a thick coat, soft as silk, hopefully he gets his own home soon.

I’ll be doing an ongoing bottle drive to get some stray cats spayed and neutered if anyone can help or has bottles to donate? Unfortunately rescues are full and no longer able to help in our area, friendly cats I can eventually adopt out and recover some costs but it’s getting cold and there’s a lot of strays needing help now. I absolutely do not adopt out cats without being spayed or neutered ,barn cats are no exception so please don’t ask . I have a few people willing to hold cats but obviously and males would need to be neutered immediately (nobody wants to smell tomcat p*e! 😂) so I need to have money set aside for these emergencies. There’s several waiting now that we’ve set up with food and straw but in -30 everything is an emergency. If anyone can help please message me , thank you. EDIT Penner was having a little trouble finding his perfect home in lloydminster and has moved on too the Shuswap area and is available for adoption with Shuswap Paws.

I am going to be posting some of the cats I have for adoption, all cats will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Adoption fee is $225 .

Sorry I am unable to take any cats or dogs, you can use the list below to try and find a rescue who can accept them . No donations, no adoptions ,unfortunately equals no intakes.
Please spay and neuter, rescues cannot keep up with what is being born.

Taylor Martel is going to be the straw provider at Onion Lake if anyone is looking, I’m sure she will advertise once she gets some bagged up but if you know anyone looking tell them to message her. Hopefully she can make a little money to cover her expenses, running around for everyone is very expensive!

Pretty little Polly was trapped by Candice Sarrazin after a month of her sneaking onto her deck to be fed, she was pretty elusive with the live trap so we brought out the drop trap!
Pat Sedgwick has been fostering her since we caught her, Wednesday she went for her spay day thanks to Stacy Lariviere for the donation and to Lisa and Phil Zackowski who donated the reward money for their lost cat Minnie.
So much time and money for one tiny stray who knows she’s worth it! Thank you all for everything!

We are opening the conversation up - we need a designated spay and neuter clinic. Our local vets are absolutely amazing but we are only given one day per month as a sanctuary. We can’t monopolize all their resources, but then that means we can’t effectively solve the very issue of over population.

Utopia world dream: How can we create an affordable option to our community to assist with rising costs of spay/neuter. We have discussed “how to open our own clinic” and that price tag starts at a million dollars for building, equipment and medical personnel. Plus plus plus and WAY out of our reality of today’s budgeting.

We are not asking for donations, we are not asking for government funding, we do not want to disrespect our extremely hard working vets who care for us so much. We just see that more needs to be done and are genuinely interested in ideas of how to get there. We welcome ideas.

Edit: unfortunately Cookies little body has been through too much and I have decided to let him go to the rainbow bridge as per the vets recommendation. Sorry we couldn’t save you little one.

Cookie needs all the positive vibes he can get tonight, he was found on the road extremely emaciated and dehydrated. He’s so cold and lifeless but he’s in the talented hands of Dr Berg so there’s hope. Will update tomorrow when we know more.😞
