Between getting drenched Monday and Tuesday, loosing my bike keys on Wednesday, roasting on Thursday and finding my lost bike keys on Friday hanging on a utility pole (thank you to the kind soul who found and hung them up), it was a week but certainly not a bad one! Despite it being a full week, I didn't get many photos except a few up the adorable sweet pup Millie and Joey, the sweet, most affectionate and happy mini doodle ever.

I would like to welcome Jax and Evie to my extended pet family! Jax is 10 yo and Evie is 2 yo, they are gorgeous Doodles. Jax is a laid back gentleman who gives lovely kisses from time to time and quite willingly accepts ear scratches, he is so sweet. Evie is more lively, enjoys playing fetch with her stuffed alligator and is absolutely all in for ear scratches, tummy rubs, kisses and cuddles....when she gives me the "eyes"...it melts my heart and I will probably give her and Jax whatever they want lol.
It was a great week between last Friday and today .... here are some of my favorite beings that bring me serenity, laughter and a great deal of joy.

Meet Willow and the 5 piggies... I just realized I may or may not have mentioned, that they are Guinea Pigs....but I prefer to call them piggies. BTW, I had no idea how much "waste" these little piggies could generate...mind blowing. Upside to that, I did some research and apparently you can make a great natural garden fertilizer without composting the waste...all you need to do is make a guinea pig waste tea and apply to tea to the garden. Yes, I have a strange mind!
Willow, is a great Kitty very friendly and very affectionate...not to mention adorable!
This afternoon, I had a very enjoyable visit with Jagger and Tobi. Last week, Jagger turned 14 year old. Jagger is a grand and regal lady...she knows her own mind and she knows she smarter than most humans but at the same time, once you win her approval she is so very, very sweet. Tobi is cute and almost goofy the way he dances/prances over to you like a show pony (thank you Kari G, I stole your perfect description of Teaka).
Once you gain Tobi's trust, he is the absolute, loving-est pooch around. I really enjoy my time with them.
When I left for my next booking, I took the scenic route at a leisurely pace through Springbank Park, Greenway park, past the Navy Yard, up to Ridout, over the new bridge and to Wellington via the South branch of the TVP....most of that trip is via the Thames Valley Parkway. The TVP is awesome surrounded by the greenery, river and all the fauna that surrounds. It brings me peace, satisfaction and joy.
Finally, I dropped in to see Willow the cat and the 5 little piggies. The piggies started their cute squeal and squeaks as soon as i got to the stairs...they really make me giggle. No pics yet of the piggies, I was lucky to get 1 photo of Jagger and Tobi...I forgot to charge my phone last night so it died pretty quick.

A really lovely day today despite the heat I spent last night and this morning with Jude and Pearl, then went to visit Georgia for her walk and pets and ended with Miss Eva an adorable Persian kitty. This is my second visit with Eva since she joined my extended pet family....first visit was her watching me from under cover and this one started with her coming to where I was but still putting a barrier between us to her taking a full tube treat from me then to her allowing me to pet her and finally to me picking her up and cuddling her! I feel so blessed...she is so sweet, gentle and soft! Tomorrow, I start my daily drop-ins with 5 guinea pigs and Willow the cat! I was hoping to handle the piggies but apparently 4 out of 5 don't like being picked up...and I am not sure which one tolerates it. However, I won't stress them out just to satisfy my desire to play with them ... however, Willow the cat is fair game if she will let me pet her!
Another great day....first up was Maggie G....it was so good seeing her again, I missed her and she remembered our usual walk route, our little games etc. Smart girl!
Next up was Maggie A...Maggie is also very smart and has been with me from the beginning, next was time with Tessa...slow Kong lunch for Tessa, walks, potty, then lay on the deck for a while. Then off to Pearl and Jude's with Molly joining us, for an evening walk, playtime, hugs and cuddles. Finally back to Tessa for a twilight walk and then get comfortable and enjoy each others company for the next few days....Tessa wanted me to do some sleepovers with her ... and I was more than happy to accept the gracious invitation.
A few cuties over the last week....some pups didn't want to be photographed and that is okay. Missing is Phoebe and Clea, Maggie A and Izzy. Love each and every one of my extended pet family!

I picked up my new bike yesterday afternoon and I LOVE her. I was originally wanting the bike in red but changed my mind and got the blue. I think I will name her Belle, short for Bluebell.
Comparing this bike (TAUBIK) to the Magnum bike that was stolen,
The Taubik is the perfect shape and size, the Magnum was a big bike and made me feel small, which doesn't happen often.
Peddling is smoother and easier on the Taubik
Fun value, Taubik wins and she flies...I got up to 42kmph easily...without my legs feeling like jelly in the heat (yes, electric assist is awesome even uphill)

The bike comes with a small bottle of blue paint so you can touch up knicks and scratches. It also came with a swiss army type multi-tool that easily fits in a pocket, for on the go adjustments and/or repairs. I actually used the multi-tool on the go today to make a seat adjustment. Little things like this are appreciated and helpful!
The one thing on the Magnum that I liked better was the saddle seat...much more comfortable....this issue can easily and economically be dealt with, by switching it out....if my butt doesn't get enough calluses to make this one comfortable.
Oh, yes I bought 3 heavy duty locks...and watched youtube videos on how to properly lock a bike. Thieves are smarter and well trained now days with battery power angle grinders, large bolt cutters and even compressed air so the videos were an eye opener and very educational.

After the toasting we took from the heat earlier today, it really is quite pleasant out right now. Enjoying time on the patio and yard with Jagger and Tobi.
Meet Millie, the newest member of the extended pet family.
Millie is 5 months old, sits beautifully when asked, walks like a champ with no pulling , respectful to other dogs and people, goes in to her crate when asked to and just an all around good girl.
Millie is a Cane Corso mix and already a good size at 5 months...I am so excited to watch her grow in size and personality. Millie already has a great personality and she is extremely intelligent ...I feel so privileged to be part of her journey through the puppy stage to teenager and beyond!

Okay so, I went to E-Ride on Wellington at South St. this afternoon and picked out my new E-bike...she is bright red and sleek. Just waiting for the insurance funds to arrive and away we go. BTW...the owner Matt at E-Ride is a great guy...knows his products and if you need maintenance on an e-bike or e-moped ...he knows what he's doing. I made the mistake of having my e-moped flat back tire fixed by someone inexperienced with e-mopeds and she suffered from an accidental homocide on Tuesday. Long story here but, she will never be ridden again and I am truly going to miss her...she always made me smile.
Yes, my new e-bike was stolen last Saturday and then, by Tuesday I had to say goodbye to the e-moped. It was certainly not the perfect week but it sure wasn't the worst either.

A little public service announcement. If you or anyone you know has an e-bike, check with your insurance company to see if there is a maximum claim amount they will pay in the absence of a ryder on your home policy for the e-bike(s).
Wow, what a weekend filled with so many highs and a crashing low! Thank goodness for the highs that my extended pet family brings me through the companionship, love and mutual no nonsense understanding and acceptance on both sides of the relationship...it put the crashing low in to perspective that with love, kindness, companionship and respect....the rest doesn't really matter.
The crashing low at the time was having my new e-bike stolen when I stopped to pick up some items at the dollar tree, between bookings. I can't wrap my head around how fast it vanished and it was locked to the bicycle rack right by the store doors at a busy intersection and bus stop feet away. I am not going to cry over this though ... just confused as to how! The bike is insured so, moving on...I will deal with a replacement in the next few weeks. I will be looking for a bike that doesn't attract so much attention....people studied that bike far too much and too often, even when I am right there.
Here are the beautiful souls that kept me grounded this weekend. Saturday was Teaka, Raya and Theo and then, the evening with Sugar. Sunday was 3 drop-ins and walks with the amazing 19 year old Tessa and a drop-in with Theo (kitty) and walk with big sis Raya. Full weekend, just the way I like it!
I have a special affection for Thursdays, and yesterday was no different. Here are the highlights of my day:
Fun day, welcomed a new casual, on call doodle pup to the extended family and she is a sweetheart. Maggie is 18 months old and her favorite things are grass, rolling in the grass, someone to sit in the grass with her and most especially someone to lay in the grass with her while she cuddles into your side. She gives seriously good hugs. To make sure she gets some walking and sniffing in as well, we headed to 2 different park areas with lot grass (1 for our morning walk and a different one for our evening walk.)

Had a really great weekend. Visited 2x with that newest member of the extended family. Tessa is a sweet girl loves food, Kongs filled with food and slow walks, taking in all the smells that abound...she is one of the sweetest senior ladies I have ever met
I then had a drop in with Raya the husky mix, our other new extended family member, then it was on the see my sweet little Teaka and spend the night wit her....she is a tiny little sweetheat
I am a lucky girl....getting lots of sugar from Sugar. Such a sweet girl!
I seriously love this little girl's ears and coloring. I need a farm so I can have all the dogs...lol. Well, not in a crazy dog hoarding way of course

Kicked off the weekend with a Friday overnight into Saturday with the amazing terriers Jagger and Toby then home in the afternoon to take my little Molly for her grooming appointment. Sunday started with a drop-in for my sunshine boy Joey, then an afternoon spent with the amazing little Boston Sugar, back for a second drop in with Joey and his kitty cousins Loofy and Luna and last but not least a bedtime walk and play with the pug/chug Pearl and Jude. It was such a great way to end and start a week. Bring on the rest of March...so much lined up that us guaranteed to be filled with sweetness, laughter and love!
Leo has been in the habit of waiting for me to arrive and dashes out...he is part ninja. Previously, the "catizens" mostly stayed in the apartment especially Flynn the black cat peeking out. Now, there is the newest rescue, Angel who may have been misnamed, ...she is a spunky kitty who rules the house and has a newly found joyous nature...she learned ninja tricks from Leo. Astro follows Angel and Flynn the original "catizen", needs to supervise. As I said in the video my cat herding task has become more complex and it doesn't go as singularly straightforward as it used to.
Maverick....a puppy trapped in a large doggy body. Maverick isn't quite a year old yet....so he's still a puppy trapped in a very big doggy body. I call him a clown fish because he gets all goofy and silly like a clown and if Maverick sees water in any form...child's pool, garden pond, mud puddle etc. he is just going to drop and roll...no warning, no advanced indication, he goes from being upright to gator roll. So, clownfish just seems to suit him! Here he's playing...under supervision...with an empty 750 ml plastic pop bottle....he loves the sound it makes. Just before the "bottle roll", I had turned the backyard into a snuffle mat by liberally spreading kibble in the grass and letting Maverick sniff it out. I couldn't find one that he missed. Of course, we also went for a walk.....I love what I do and I love every one of my extended pet family and getting to know what works for each individual furry ball of sunshine.
On the 26th of September Magie and I marked our 1 year Dog walking anniversary together. Maggie was my 1st dog-walking client so this also marks the 1st anniversary of Sherry's Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Maggie is such a good girl and I look forward to our daily weekday walks and am so thankful Maggie and her Mom found me. Maggie loves walking the wall on one of the routes we take...I change up routes daily and let Maggie choose the direction we take some days. I have truly been blessed, Sherry's Dog Walking and Pet sitting has grown so much in the last year. I am so thankful to each and every Pet parent client for allowing me to share their pet's lives...it has been such a joyous and fulfilling year for me and I truly love my extended pet family
