Exciting news! Makayla Murray & The PATCH have been honoured as Mazda Canada Rising Legend! At The PATCH we are pleased to have donated 2,600 pounds of produce, actively addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable living in 2023. The PATCH has impacted over 800 people through essential training and recreational programs in partnership with Hutton House to support adults with disabilities.

Makayla Murray, at the age of 21, exemplifies dedication to community service. Since 2020, her role in the Urban Agriculture Program has been truly inspiring. Makayla's commitment, skill, and heartfelt approach are evident in every task, from cultivation to harvesting. She goes beyond agriculture, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere, especially crucial post-pandemic.

Makayla's passion for environmental sustainability shines through her active gardening and enthusiastic participation in every workshop at The PATCH. Her unwavering commitment to improving lives extends beyond volunteering, forging meaningful friendships and demonstrating exceptional leadership.

In addition to her community contributions, Makayla's role as a caring older sister further underscores her character. Despite a busy schedule, she consistently finds time for her brother, showcasing her compassion.

An amazing 2023! This year, The PATCH has contributed all of our harvests towards addressing food insecurity in London, ON. We are beyond grateful to everyone who has supported us! Our accomplishments are possible thanks to our funders, community partners, and volunteer team. An additional thank you to our hardworking PATCH team for bringing our vision to life and creating new opportunities.

Growing update at Nathan's Urban Farm🌱

Our volunteers at Nathan's Urban Farm deserve a big thank you for their contribution. We successfully relocated tower gardens into our new space and started growing these seedlings a month and a half ago. Yesterday, we harvested 10 pounds of fresh leafy greens for donation. Join us every Tuesday to learn indoor growing and enjoy some harvesting.
