Unfortunately the light outside today is inadequate, but we’ll work with what we’ve got.. Quill didn’t forget his “Grandma”, and now she has a pair of her own pumped up kicks!

These were the only pair of laces I had on hand, so they’ll work until she picks out a more suitable set :)
There’s no red, that’s all hot pink, so use your imagination as the pictures don’t do them justice!

Amazing photographer, and an even more amazing human being. Since I don’t post leather things for sale often enough, you really should just go spend that money on pictures of your dog from Illona instead 😉

Played around with an idea for a belt in my head this morning using button studs instead of a buckle, and since I have the day off, figured I’d try and see what it turned out like.

Simple, lightweight, and will only look better the more I get my grubby hands on it!

Finished up this purse as well today, aside from the strap.

Note how awesome the grain difference in the bison is between the top flap and front piece, which are cut from the same side, but different anatomical locations!
Decided that paint would be too contrasting for this bag, so “painted” with dye to match instead!Added in a back cell phone pocket, inner pocket, and quick grab inner pocket for glasses.

Need a new trial leash, or just a simple but elegant leash for strolling around the neighbourhood that will last a lifetime? Well I made not one, but TWO, amazing 4’ leads (just because)!

Made from Hermann Oak English Bridle leather, 3/8” thick, 4’ long, solid brass hardware, completely hand stitched for the entire length, and O-ring in the handle to clip up and sling across your chest when not in use. All edges and fully hand burnished, so it’s comfortable in your hand from day one, and will only get better with age. If you don’t want to wear it across your chest, they’re also small enough to easily stuff in a pocket!

One is made with cream Ritza Tiger thread, and the other is made with glow-in-the-dark thread!

Look what’s looking for it’s forever home 👀!

This gorgeous one-of-a-kind overnight/weekender duffle bag is up for grabs, and it’s guaranteed that no other bag exactly like this one will ever exist. With not one, but TWO, distinctive brand marks from the same hide, this bag has a story that you may or may not be able to piece together if you put some research into finding the origin of the brands.

This leather is soft and has an almost micro suede feeling, but is utilitarian enough to handle whatever you throw at it. Each and every hole (over 2000) was singly punched, then carefully hand stitched with the most premium thread on the market, and finished with a Riri zipper and solid brass hardware. To make this bag, from layout to final stitch, was about 22 hours of work.

It comes with a beautiful matte black shoulder strap, but I have not yet made the shoulder cover piece as I can customize it with your name if you would like (similar to the straps on my other posted duffle bags).

Dimensions are:
45cm / 17.5” long
21cm / ~8.5” wide
22cm / 8.5” tall

Was able to finish up this gorgeous bag as well, with just the strap left to make. This is that amazing leather with multiple brands and scars I was going to make for myself, until I saw that bison leather and caved.

Here’s one more thing I made myself, worn at one trial, and has since been languishing in a closet.

Conditioned and looking for a new home!

Solid brass lockjaw snap and O ring in the handle, 3/4” wide, 3’ long (not including hardware), hand stitched, and three Volcano Swarovski crystals.

There is a tiny smear of edge paint on the back of the handle, which never bothered me as it was for myself and it doesn’t stand out, but reduced the price to reflect that.

So I wanted to treat myself to the slightly smaller version of the duffle bag Quill helped me with awhile ago, as the one I have is amazing for packing for a week of camping/cottage trips, but wanted something more suited for a true overnight/weekend trip.

Had all the pieces cut out from a gorgeous black leather with brands, then Lonsdale Leather went and posted a clip of some bison pull-up leather they got…
. once I cleaned my jaw off the floor I decided I HAD to make a bag from that leather.

This is not embossed, this is the literal skin texture of bison after being tanned to make leather! I asked for a piece that had scars or any marks from a life interestingly lived, and they sent a gorgeous hide.

Quill of course added his artistic flare by painting the interior panel, side panel, luggage tag, and shoulder piece. Bonus points that these now match the one pair of sneakers he painted!

To say I am now obsessed with this bag is a tad of an understatement 😍

The two big things I’ve been spending the past while on, for two very important people in our lives. They took a total of 24 hours of work each, from layout, singly punching each hole, edge finishing, and then hand stitching and assembly.

It took some time for me to find the *perfect* leather for these bags - quality, rugged, oozing with character, and the ability to not only handle anticipated abuse - but to thrive on it. These oil tanned sides are all that and more! They’re so beautiful in the way they blemish and scratch with interaction, only to have those marks work right back out as it develops new subtleties to reflect the real life experiences of the leather.

Quill wanted to contribute as well, as he very much enjoys his time with these two, so he was delegated to paint the shoulder strap bits.
