Texas has been on stall rest for about 4months due to a leg injury. He’s got another 2 months to go yet! But X-rays are looking great and he’s healing ❤️‍🩹

Throw back to Diamonds first blanket to now. She was swimming in that little blue blanket that no longer fits her. She got her big girl blanket on yesterday and just like the first one will have to grow into it. How long before this one doesn’t fit??

Well today was the day that we moved Louie back into passions fields. Passion and Louie were always best friends. Instead of eating hay with her mama Diamond decided she wanted to eat with her uncle Louie. My heart 🥰🥹. I feel like I could trust Louie with just about anyone. Diamond sure is a fan of this big guy

It’s getting harder everyday to get good photos of Diamond since she thinks it’s playtime 24/7 😂. She hit a big milestone today as she let me pick out all 4 hooves! We have taught her to pickup her feet since day one in preparation of this day 🥹 she’s growing up! Soon it will be time to put her big girl blanket on

When the ATV keeps getting stuck but the back fields need water… Louie saves the day! He’s such a good boy! As always Louie can be unsure of something new at first but always pushes himself out of his comfort zone and has a fun time in the end once he realizes he can do it!

❄️ Update ❄️

We put passions blanket on last night. We were expecting her to have little freak out because she’s scared of new things but she didn’t even flinch. I think she’s liking it!! It’s a little big on her but she’s going to be pregnant next winter so we measured for that

Mama and baby are doing great in all this snow!

❄️ We have managed to keep Diamond dry&warm 🥰

❄️ Why’s passion not wearing a winter blanket yet? She’s never been blanked before so we have to slowly introduce it. Up until the day before we got all this snow she was still shedding like crazy. And because her baby was born at a weird time we wanted to make sure diamond was eating hay and drinking water before adding an obstacle for her to nurse. 

❄️ Passions Blanket should arrive today! Even though Diamond is eatting hay and drinking water she still needs milk. So we purposely got passion a blanket without leg straps. This will make it easier for Diamond to nurse

Jowad and Bacardi became buddies this morning! When we have a stud on the property it’s important to us to pair him up with a fitting gelding. This keeps them from getting board and getting into trouble. This also lets them just be a horse and helps with good manners.
