Hi, I’m Oscar! I’m a 9-year-old Shih Tzu weighing in at just over 11lbs, and I’m the perfect little companion if you’re looking for a calm, easy-going friend to share your days with.
I’m a sweet, gentle soul who loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch and following my favorite person around the house. I’m in my golden years, so my energy level is pretty low…I spend most of my time napping and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. I’m not demanding at all; I’m just happy to be near you, soaking up all the love and attention you’re willing to give.

I’m fully house-trained and don’t need a crate because I can be trusted both when left alone and overnight. While I’m very quiet when my people are home, I do tend to bark or cry a little when I’m left alone, so I’d love a home where someone is around most of the time to keep me company. Guess this stuff happens when you are abandoned at a shelter.

I get along fine with smaller dogs, but I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. As for kids, I’d probably do best with older, dog-savvy children who understand that I’m an older gentleman and prefer gentle handling. Car rides are no problem for me, and when it comes to toys, I enjoy playing a little game of keep-away with small stuffed toys. I’m not much of a chewer, but I do like the occasional crunchy biscuit, even though soft food is recommended for me.

I do have a Grade II heart murmur, but it doesn’t slow me down from living my best cozy life. If you’re ready for a loving, low-maintenance friend, I’m here waiting to meet you!

An adoption fee of $300. I am neutered, and had a dental, I have also been vaccinated with my age appropriate vaccinations, been dewormed, been given flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and will come with 30 days of free pet insurance as well as my health certificate.

I heard through the grapevine that there are some sweet puppies at the lobo animal care centre that are looking for forever homes. Poodles and mixes.
I know some of you were asking me if I knew of any rescues.

Most of the dogs that come in find comfort with our wolfhound Janet. She usually only interacts with those pups that seek her out. she’s always willing to share her comfy couch 🥰

Bella came in today with 3-4 inches of hair that was becoming hard to maintain. I gave her this style that is short enough to maintain but still very cute!

To my dearest clients.
I would like to start off by saying how much I appreciate each and everyone of you. The last year or two (covid…) you have proven yourselves to be compassionate and supportive during a very unpredictable time. I am beyond thankful for that ❤️So it has been a difficult decision to make, but I will to be implementing a price increase effective immediately. With a cost increase to business overhead such as rent, premium shampoos and conditioners, maintenance of tools etc.. and life in general, it is necessary. I did not come to this decision lightly, I have been trying to figure out how to make it fair for all of us. So, starting Jan 3 prices will increase by 10% and Then another increase (5%) will be implemented june 1st. New clients will be charged the 15 % increase immediately, for my dear regular clients we will do it gradually. Everyone’s price tends to vary and is individualized but some examples are as follows:
If you pay $45, your new price before tax will be $49.50. In June it will be 51.75
If you pay $60 your new price will be $66, in June it will be $69.
If you pay $90, the new price will $99, then in June it will be 103.50.
All prices listed are before hst.
I appreciate your understanding and continued support. The price increase will also allow me to take less dogs in a day so I can provide the best care for your pets.
