We may be soaked but I’m truly grateful for the recent rain. I recorded this last week when we had some showers but today feels more appropriate to post 😜
PLUS nothing like having waterproof biothane gear for myself & the dogs to make our adventures as easy & seamless as possible. @walkmultipledogs | UNLEASHHAPPINESS to save!
To sum it up, the dogs and I have been enjoying the quick break from the heat & a romp through the puddles! Plus the trails smell like fresh rain & give me that perfect PNW vibe 🌧️🌲

Need I say more? 🫶👇
While this is my jam it’s important to talk about the off leash etiquette while on public trails. While with my pack I am always:
✅Staying aware of my surroundings - people, dogs, wildlife both ahead and behind me.
✅Recalling off of wildlife
✅Recalling off of other people/dogs and leashing to pass them
✅No greetings on or off leash. I do this specifically because working with a pack I want their attention on me at all times. If I let them greet sometimes they begin to anticipate being able to say hello or play with others.
✅Working on impulse control & engagement!

Unpopular opinion?!
Let’s find out!👇
I’ll start us off with two of my own controversial tools:
1) Flexi Lead - Usually I hate these and 90% of the time tell people to steer clear… but they can be useful tools when used correctly. Here’s an example, you’ve already taught your dog leash pressure, loose leash expectations and are working on recall. Instead of using a longline you reach for the flexi. This depends on the dog of course (are they going to run full speed at the end of the flexi? Probably not the tool for you!) but if it’s there as a backup go for it!
2) E-Collar: I’m sure many of you saw this one coming 😜
I personally love my Ecollar. I used to be very against tools of any kind… before I understood that a) everything is a tool, including a leash and b) there are so many different options and they are NOT all made the same nor are they used the same! When used as a communication system, properly conditioned I am a huge believer in this tool. I am an off leash dog walker and dogs are animals, they can be unpredictable especially if left to their own devices. Ecollars give me and many other owners the ability to communicate from a distance in a safe, effective way.
Whether you want to share a success story, something that didn’t work or if you can’t think of anything tell me your fav piece of equipment in general! 🙌
So tell me, what potentially controversial thing do you use & why?

Your reminder to take a moment and breathe 🙌
Reconnect with your dog(s), reconnect with yourself and reconnect with nature around you 🤍 sometimes we all need a moment… P.S. it helps when you have some cuddly pups to smother you in kisses 😉

So proud of this team! 👏
Denny graduated from our E Collar Introduction Program a few months ago and has been thriving with his family and their new communication system. Around the time we started the program they had an adorable new addition to the family so on top of reliability off leash we worked on solidifying those on leash boundaries and expectations.
Denny is confident but he can be very pushy and independent at times (which we also need to remember is in his breed) but it’s been amazing watching them develop their relationship and communication skills.
