After 3 years we have decided to expand but first we must downsize 😓
As we continue to downsize our herd here at Mayfield rabbitry to prepare for a future move, I will have purebred Rex’s and Flemish including pedigreed stock looking to hop along in the next few weeks

We will be kindling 4 litters this year which are Due April 13th and those will be the final litters until the move.

We will be parting with proven does & bucks as well as the remaining kits therefor if you are interested in a particular rabbit or looking for something specific feel free to reach out ☺️

Our Flemish litters are doing amazing 🥰

We moved 3 of Muffins kits over to Cupcake to give everyone a better chance.
Currently cupcake has 4 greys of her own and fostering 3 fawns of Muffins
Muffin currently has her 10 Sandy’s in with her.

Everyone is chunky and thriving and both mommas did an amazing job as building a beautiful nest with tons of warm fur!🐰

Yesterday we welcomed our 2 litters of Flemish giants from Cupcake(Grey) who had 4 and Muffin(Sandy) who had 13 🥰
Both momma and babies are doing well, we look forward to seeing them grow!

We had 2 successful litters on Tuesday!
The first is our Almond x Maggie Litter and our second is our Cashew x Skor litter 😍

I’m excited to have some more magpies in the bunch as well as some booted, brokens and harlis!
There’s already a couple that will be held back to grow out to possibly add to the breeding program as a couple that are reserved.

I kept back a doe from my Mayfields Honey x Mayfields Bounty litter born May 26th and she’s a tank at already 11 1/2 lbs at 7 months old
She’s 1/3 Flemish 2/3 Rex and both parents had Flemish fur
I’m looking forward to seeing what she produces 🥰

She started off with 6 but after a tragic accident a couple weeks ago we sadly lost 2 😞
We are planning a rebreed to get more magpies 💕

Our Sales Policy as of April 5 2024

RESERVATIONS

Mayfields Rabbitry & Homestead (MRH) rabbits will be ready to go to their new home no sooner than 8 weeks old to ensure they are weaned.
Reservations open at 6 weeks + depending on the litter size, pairing and if we intend to keep any back.

For bunnies older than 8 weeks, we will hold them for up to 2 weeks maximum with a deposit unless otherwise discussed. Longer reservations require us to make sure the bunny has cage space/ housing, feed and is taken care which in return takes time/feed that needs to be compensated for.

We require a 50% non refundable deposit before we can hold your bunny for pick up arrangements *bunny is not technically sold until deposit is recieved. the remaining 50% is due upon pick up

cash is our accepted methods of payment.

**MRH reserves the right to refuse or cancel a sale at anytime for any reason, which at the time we will refund any deposits immediately**


Your bunny will come with a home package - Breeder or Pet which includes:

- hay/pellets for transitioning

- Birth Certificate

-Pedigree if applicable/available **

- 24/7 contact with any questions you have.

You are responsible to research breed of bunny you are purchasing and getting all supplies ready.
However you can always message or email me any time with questions you have.
We offer 24/7 communication when you purchase a bunny from us.

Please bring a safe way to transport your bunny from the meeting place.
At the time of the sale, MRH guarantees the complete health of our bunnies being sold at time of sale. Once the rabbits have left our hands we are not responsible for any health issues that may arise including fertility.

We triple check genders before allowing our buns to hop off from our rabbitry, However we can not guarantee we can get it correct every time.
We ask that you also check your rabbit over yourself at the time of pick up.
In the situation the bunny is the wrong gender, please contact me and we will work something out with the best interest of you and the bunny in mind.

If at any time you need to re-home your bunny/ies. MRH will absolutely take the bunny back no questions asked. We ask you not to rehome or send our bunnies to a shelter. They will ALWAYS have a home here. Refunds will not be given in this event.

We ensure the best homes for our bunnies ❤

*****WE ARE A CLOSED RABBITRY*****

What that means is no more meeting our bunnies in person, because of bio security reasons. There is plenty of transmittable diseases and we pride ourselves in having a strick in and out protocol to help keep our stock safe.

From this day moving forward we would prefer all visitors who are picking up a bunny to either :

- Make specific arrangements for a meeting point in Saskatoon/North battleford regions on weekends

- Delivery to Lloyd/Edmonton will be available bi weekly, weekends only.

-Alternate delivery may be arranged for a fee.

- I do work with transportation, however all arrangements must be made and paid for by the new owners.

** Pedigrees only provided on select stock from our pedigreed litters, other wise the rabbit will be sold without as brood/pet stock.

Charlotte x Barney kits are 2 weeks 1 day old day and I must say I absolutely love this mix. They both carry dilute which threw some beautiful coloured kits this time

This was Charlottes first litter with me but her 3rd total and she’s been a wonderful mom! She had 10 kits, only 8 are pictured as I fostered 2 off to a doe who had 6. 1 is a red and the other is a mystery at this point😅
Pictured below we have 2 Amber, 1 Red, 2 chinchilla, 2 castor and 1 chocolate otter 🥰

One thing I absolutely love about my doe Honey is her ability to have large healthy litters and still be capable of fostering, she’s a serious gem of a doe 💎

Below is her 9 healthy very similar sized kits as well as a cute magpie born the same day from 1 doe and a black and broken blue from another doe born 5 days later. She’s been successfully raising all 12 kits for the last couple weeks💕

I’ve never had an issue fostering kits to any of my does thankfully. I’m also very thankful that some of my does go into the nest boxes to feed multiple times a day which seems to give the larger litters a better chance at surviving. Obviously not all of my does do this but I have a select few who do and I take full advantage of that to use them as foster mommas 🥰

I will be holding back a couple does to grow out and choose from to replace my Honey as this may be her last litter until she is retired. I’m on the fence about possibly breeding her 1 last time this fall though 🫣

Momma Maggie was sent to the colony with her kits to grow out, she’s enjoying the cool log cabin while her kits are enjoying the freedom with new friends 💕

Something I’ve been doing this year is once the does kits are around 7-8 weeks old, I ship them from the cages that they kindle in, into the colony.
I love the security of cages and how easy it is to keep a close eye on the kits in the first couple months of their life. Then it’s nice to let them chew, dig, roam and play and have fun with other friends in the colony 🐰

It’s also a nice time to let the does socialize with others and relax in a larger space where they can get away from their kits easier, which has been a nice way to let her wean them off completely on her own terms 😅

I’ve been slowly adding more and more little areas to the colony to keep things fun and interesting for everyone 💕🏡

These beautiful little kits are a little over 3 weeks old and loving their greens 🥬
They have been very friendly and curious since leaving the nest 🥰

They are a beautiful pedigreed rainbow litter 🌈 😍 I absolutely love the variety especially the broken chinchilla!

This was Gingers first litter and she did a fantastic job with her 10 little fluff balls, but once this group is weaned she will be looking for a new 🏡

Our honey x Bounty and Ginger x Pistachio litters were 1 week old yesterday and they’re so stinkin cute 🥰😍

Honey x Bounty litter I will be holding back a couple does to grow out to replace momma since Honey will be put into an early retirement❤️

Ginger is our first time momma who is 7/8 Rex 1/8 flemish and she’s doing a wonderful job! She built a beautiful nest, she produces lots of milk, she’s friendly and she managed to keep all 10 babies alive 💕

Our 2nd litter that was born Friday May 26th is from Honey & Bounty. Our freezer filling litter! 🐰

Honey has been with us for almost 3 years now and never disappoints with large, healthy and fast growing litters! We have held back and sold many of her offspring as pets & meat producers🌱

We decided to line breed her back to her son, they’re both just over 11lbs so I’m excited to see how big these beans turn out 😍
