Here are a few Safety Tip 🐱🎄🐶

🧵 1. Keep ornaments and tinsel out of reach
Cats or dogs may chew or swallow shiny decorations, which can lead to choking or intestinal blockages.

🌱 2. Avoid toxic holiday plants
Mistletoe and poinsettias can be harmful if eaten. Opt for pet-safe alternatives.

🍫 3. Secure all holiday treats
Chocolate, xylitol-sweetened goodies, grapes/raisins, and alcohol can be dangerous for dogs.

🔌 4. Protect cords and lights
Some dogs or cats may chew holiday lights. Use cord covers or keep wires tucked away.

🎁 5. Supervise gift wrapping
Ribbon, bows, and plastic wrapping can be hazardous if swallowed.

🕯️ 6. Keep candles and wax warmers away
A fluffy tail or a wagging tail can easily knock over candles and cause burns or fires.

Phineas came to see us at the Ardiel Animal Hospital when he suddenly became non weight bearing on his left hind leg. After a thorough exam and radiographs by Dr Siltala, we found that he had a spiral fracture of his tibia! To help the fracture heal a Robert Jones bandage was applied. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹🐾
