Small but mighty group of campers for day 2 of camp! Both days were full of fun and ran smoothly!! All the campers were wonderful and had a blast and my helpers were much appreciated and great support humans! Thank you to everyone who got involved!
Summer camp 2024 day one!
I am looking for a fill in riding instructor. Specifically for time in October but extended opportunities available. Knowledgeable and safe. Preferably carrying their own certification and insurance or willing to obtain. Flexibility in their schedule and ability to do multiple disciplines and show experience are all assets. What a day! I took way too many pictures so here you go, enjoy a fraction of them. So proud of the girls and their ponies and their parents for all of their hard work and dedication to the sport and the fun. It was a warm one but well run and smooth sailing. Proud coach once again! This team is one to be proud to show off at events way to go kiddos!

What are we doing for our horses during the heat wave?
Grass:
We put our horses on grass during the early morning hours before the heat really sets in to give them an opportunity to snack on some pasture grass.
Sun protection:
When the sun goes high in the sky we move the horses to areas with plenty of shade. All of their hay gets fed under trees, the lean to shelter or the run in shed. Higher risk horses such as our resident senior go inside in stalls during the peak temperatures. Horses sensitive to sunburns have sunscreen applied twice daily and fly masks put on to protect their eyes and noses.
Hydration:
Horses are fed electrolyte powder with their grain to replenish them and encourage drinking. Ample water is provided 24/7 and refilled and cleaned throughout the day.
Exercise:
Horses are hosed off during peak daytime temperatures to cool their bodies. Lessons are switched to stable management in barn or are moved to times of the day when the sun is less intense and modified to keep students and horses cool and happy. After rides horses are hosed, sponged or left inside to cool themselves before returning to the herd.

Horsemanship camp has 3 more openings! August 17/18 8:30-12:30pm (UNMOUNTED-non riding) 100$ for one day or 175$ for both! Come join us for 8 hours of horsey fun. No experience required. Learn handling, care, and maintenance of horses while also playing games, making friends and hanging out on the farm. Open to ages 8-12 years.

We had the best day with we were spoiled to have Amanda and her crew join us all the way from PEI to learn about beginner vaulting! We had so much fun that we would like to do a follow up clinic in the fall. Cobalt was the best boy and the stationary barrel horses got put to work! Thank you thank you thank you!

We had a great weekend traveling to Ride for the Ribbon in Bridgewater NS! Participating in western, English, egg and spoon and everything in between our riders took home ribbons, prizes and great memories! We had some great classes, excellent learning moments and super horsemanship tests. The weather was a little wet but whatās some rain to stop equestrians?!!

Weāre accepting applications for new students from brand new beginner to jumping and everyone in between. We offer lessons to students ages 6-16 in a fun, small scale environment. We create long term equestrians with passion for the animal first! If you have been thinking about riding lessons for your child reach out today and we will see if there is an available space to meet your needs and experience level!
Fees are now due by all participants, we have had one last minute drop out so we are offering one final space to someone who would like to try this exciting sport! We are a go for an afternoon of vaulting in July!
We are taking a new order for clothing! The first order was to confirm that we liked the clothes and was restricted to just our students. But we not only like the clothes we LOVE them! So we are looking placing another order in 2 weeks!
The order for blue embroidered polo shirts and grey embroidered crewnecks will be placed on July 8th! So get your requests in asap.
Blue polos come in youth and ladies sizing and are 35$ for youth and 45$ for ladies. They are fitted and lovely light fabric for summer riding!
Crewnecks also come in youth and also UNISEX! They are soft and comfortable for summer nights! Crewnecks are 55$ for adult and 45$ for youth.
All pricing includes taxes. Pick up in Meaghers Grant.

The return of FARM FIT! We need your help putting in hay! This Saturday afternoon we are getting a load of hay and we need your help to get it in the loft.
Thereās a lot going on around here and we need your help! We are looking for individuals to become part of our by request Farm Fit Volunteer group. We will create a Facebook group to recruit members for specific jobs that require some extra hands. Days and times will vary by task.
No weekly commitments. Waivers must be signed by all participants. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Sadly we have made the difficult decision with the advice of our clinician to CANCEL this weekendās Danique Henderson clinic. Due to lack of participants we could not justify the cost this weekend. We would love to be able to host Danique in the future.
Participants have been contacted and refunds will be made.
Our very first clothing order came in today and I couldnāt be happier! They turned out so nicely!! We will be placing another order mid summer so stay tuned!!
We have a project thatās nearly complete that I just couldnāt wait to share! The main barn now has a renovated side including 4 roomy box stalls. (9.5x13ft) We cannot wait to complete them and put them to use! š¦ŗ
We still have a handful of spaces available for the upcoming vaulting clinic on July 6th with Amanda Tweedy of Giddy Up Vaulters on PEI! 120$ for an afternoon of fun! 50% deposit is required to hold your space!
We have 3 spaces remaining for our Danique Henderson Groundworks clinic being hosted in Meaghers Grant on June 22 and 23 (saturday/sunday)
2 spaces are available using school horses or hauling in each day (no additional fees)
1 space is with use of a stall for the weekend (no additional fees)
150$ Deposit is required to hold your space. The remaining fees (150$) are June 8th!

What a great day we had at CNHP spring. Once again so grateful to our wonderful team of kiddos and parents and supporters for everything they put in. They really make this coach smile. I couldnāt be more proud, one kiddo training and riding their first pony through his very first show came out glowing with confidence and leadership to her mount, one kiddo stepped up from leadline right into lope classes and even nailed all walk to lope transitions and had amazing control in the gymkhana, one kiddo put western tack on a 5 year old pony for its 3rd show ever and went out and ran games after being a solely English rider for years and absolutely aced their patterns and rode a couple bucks, and our last tiny rode in their first ever classes and came out with some leadliner ribbons and some pretty big smiles. Our groom for the day kept everyone on track and in good spirits and we couldnāt have done it without every member. My heart is so full once again!
What a fun crew for some warm sunny spring lessons this evening!

I couldnāt be more proud of the team for their first outing of the season! Every one of them absolutely nailed it. New friends, old friends, team, family. Everyone stepped up to the plate, rode through the challenges, pat their ponies and remembered to have fun and smile! Happy happy coach.

Due to a number of registrants having to drop out due to the holiday on Sunday our parents/grooms clinic is being POSTPONED to Sunday May 19. New time for the event will be 1-2:30pm. Those will registered will be contacted with refund options or will have a space during the new date and time!

How do you hold the horse between classes, where do you attach the back number, how do you dress up your rider for their class, how do you read entry forms and patterns?
We will cover all of this and more in our GROOMS WORKSHOP hosted at Scotia Equitation THIS SUNDAY from 2-3:30pm. Bring your show kids, treat yourself to knowledge and feel prepared at your childās next event.

So for those of you wondering about Moxie. She suffered an injury in early January leaving her blind on her right side. I have started her rehab process and have full faith in her recovery and return to her full potential. In the videos youāll see I am guiding her with voice cues, whip and rope to help her navigate obstacles without her pasture mates and trust her handler.
Newbies first canter ride. What a sweet girl sheās been very willing to give her all. Better everyday!
Hey yāall Iām back in the country after a wild journey home and a much needed break. I am available now for all services and communications. Clubs continue as normal this week with Juniors on the 17th and Minis on the 20th. Lessons and trainings start up tomorrow Tuesday the 15th. Canāt wait to get back to it, though I was able to find some ponies while away š
Considering how long this boy has been off work he felt stellar in his first week back. Quick 20 minute workouts working on lengthening his stride and building his muscle tone. He really is a smart fun ride. š
