It's getting to be that time of year when my dogs and I enjoy indoor enrichment more than outdoor games. The weather here is still perfect so I still have a bit of time to plan my winter sessions with them. But someone asked me today what my dog's favorite treat is for indoor food toys and games. There is really only one short answer to that question. It depends 🤷‍♀️. Aurora will work for almost anything, anytime. She will even work for quite a while without any food or toys before she starts wondering when her paycheck is coming. Fiona, on the other hand, needs her treats to be small but not too small, easy to chew, not chewy but not too dry. No kibble, and no freeze dried anything. Cheese is usually the highest on her list of favorites under most training conditions, but if the environment is too much for her, she will either spit out food or not take it at all. But if I am standing in the kitchen with just her, and ask for anything she knows really well, she expects Lily & Phantoms Doggy Treat Barkery cookies or training bits. Flavor isn't an issue but she will spit out anything else I offer her. Guess I'll have to stock up for winter 🤣🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🐾❤️

I need to get serious for a moment….
I was at the pet store today looking for some bone treats to keep my chewers busy for more than 5 minutes lol, but I found myself looking at some random treats, and I picked up this box of some kind of peppermint bark, and when I looked at the ingredients, the first one is sugar. That floored me…… dogs DO NOT need sugar nor is it good for them. Not to mention the list of ingredients in the other pictures I found……I have no idea what 75% of those items are…..
That’s why we try our best to use only ingredients that we are familiar with and that we know are healthy for your dogs

Check the labels when you buy treats. There are a lot of really healthy simple ingredient treats out there, you just have to look.

I have been working in another fun thing in the bakery last week. For a limited time, we will have a new flavour of treats. Lamb & Mint…..
It’s already a hit in our house so I’m confident your dogs will like it too lol
If you are downtown for midnight madness on Friday ( I will be set up at Kolab on 2nd st) I will have it with me and next week sometime it will be in all my local shops
