Jaggers procedures ended up being more than expected probably due to the fact that all his remaining teeth need to be removed. I originally thought I was at $500 shortfall but it turns out im actually at a $1300 shortfall for this guy!

I recieved a $25 donation (thank you Annette) but we have a long way to go :(

Surgery Day is Tomorrow!

Jagger came into 30SixPaws Animal Rescue back in November after being failed by the humans in his life. Since then, we've treated his diabetes, managed all the medical issues given to him by the other "rescue", and shown him what love and safety truly feel like.

Now, Jagger is just one surgery away from being ready for a forever home!

He needs:
🦷 A dental procedure with multiple extractions
🔬 Removal and biopsy of a lump on his neck

These are necessary not just for his comfort, but for his adoptability and long-term health.

🏥 The total cost is $2,451.07 CAD
Kahu Animal Hospital has offered us a 50% rescue discount AND we already have a $786 credit at the clinic! That means we only need to raise $439.54 to cover the rest!

Earlier today I was called to an opossum rescue. After a nap and a meal, the sweet young opossum was released back into the wild in some Greenspace right at dusk. I hope the animal lives a long and healthy life, safe from humans and harm. 🐾

While trying to help this terrified young possum I was harrassed and accused of abondoning the animal by the shop owner of 221° Laser Clinic and Spa in Mississauga. This woman has harrassed me at my other job profusely and I see this is a continual thing I will experience. She triggered the hell out of me, I am so tired of getting beat down when I spend 90% of my life trying to help.

Great start to my day. Be mindful of where you spend your money.

Wednesday morning I came across a sweet nest of baby bunnies who had unfortunately been found one of my dogs. I caught things quickly but not before one baby was injured.

I raced that baby to Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge and left a $50 donation (all I had to my name) for that baby to get help. Please consider supporting your local wildlife centre, they do the work most of us cant, there isn't a big network for wildlife.

Also, always take responsibility for your pets actions. Im devastated at what happened and have since set up supports to protect the remaining four babies so momma can raise them in peace and safety. I won't have an update on this baby for weeks, but i hope both all my heart that the baby is ok.

Calvin, our recent Bulldog save, had 3 kitty siblings and they need somewhere to land by June 30th. I am looking for a rescue who can intake them, or someone who can stand up for them asap. They will all need updated vaccines and a vet visit. They dont need to go together. Located in Mississauga.

Kitties are:

1. Harley: Black/White Male. He is around 10 years old. He is fixed, quiet and independent. He just wants the occasional head rub.

2. Marlee: Orange Male. He is a 17 year old fixed male. He is quiet, good natured and independent.

3. Holly: Calico Longhaired Female. She is around 8 years old and spayed. She is social once she knows someone and enjoys attention.

I miss Benny the Bulldog xoxo Benny is the most handsome guy. I've been trying to find a week day off to go visit him (hes 1.5 hrs away). Benny Benny Benny ❤️. His 2nd birthday is coming up July 28th and his next Echo is in August. He's just doing so amazing at his forever foster home, they were made for each other. Love that guy.

**Trigger Warning: Blood Shown**

About last night: meet Calvin, 8yr old English Bulldog with a long history or medical neglect. Recently one owner passed away and the remaining spouse decided to surrender Calvin, we thank the family members who reached out to save Calvin. (More videos in comments section)

His medical issues are vast and most are not even known yet. Calvin went straight to and Dr. Mark discovered fully rotten teeth and something unknown going on in the mouth (needs sedated exam and xrays), growths on the groin, deep and multiple pockets of puss of bith exterior and inside thigh areas, overgrown nails into the paws (were cut slightly, rest during upcoming sedation), deep inner ears infections, skin fold infection, and hopefully not too much more after a full scale exam. He was sent home with bathing instructions, antibiotics and steriods.

As you know we are over $40,000 in debt and taking on a high needs medical dog, no matter how cute and sweet he is, is not in the cards. Thankfully Kasia from .bulldog.rescue.ontario immediately said yes to intake him to her rescue. Calvin will stay with me until Saturday and then join his new advocates who will get him through to his forever.

If you see dogs like this REPORT IT TO PAWS. Please be their voice. Owners shouldn't have to die for a dog to get help, be their voice, be thier hero, we need you to help us fight the battle against neglect and abuse.
