Yesterday we started our run with a coat on Ren during warm up to help keep her muscles warm and then removed for running and back on for recovery, today the temps were much hotter (yesterday -23 Celsius and today -10 Celsius) and Ren needed to take a break to cool off during our short run.
Listening to your dog and being informed can help keep your dog safe practicing the sports you love!

Lola was star 🌟

Reactivity - Pain affects our dogs I had a painful week and the pain in my own body had me feeling sensitive and I lashed out to those around me. Knowing how much pain and discomfort can affect me really is a great reminder on how much it can affect our dogs. I love animals and love helping people and their pets learn together to enjoy a happy home. I am a certified dog trainer with many years experience working with small and large dogs in rural and urban settings, ranging from basic behaviours to dogs with behavioural issues. I believe dog training should be a fun and positive learning experience using science based methods. Ultimately my goal is to help clients to understand behaviour, classical and operant conditioning and become the teachers and have their dogs become avid, excited and happy learners!
