*Update on fundraising for Moyo's surgery!
So far, generous cat lovers have donated a total of almost $600 - THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️❤️
If I can raise another couple hundred, then the entropian surgery and after care meds would be covered, and the enucleation surgery and meds would be almost covered. (still not sure which surgery he's getting yet).
Every little bit helps, and is super appreciated. In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure here's a video of the cat motel I run, aka my living room. The first 2 kitties are mine, then there's Moyo, Pepe le Cute, and a new guy I just got in last night.
These munchkins just got adopted together today! Thanks to Vanessa for being such a great foster mum to Llorona and Loralie. Have a happy life with Nelly and her kids you crazy kitties ❤️
RIP Belisarius 🥺
This shy, sweet, traumatized boy died while I was transferring him from his cage to the transporter. He had gotten sick over the weekend and we had an emergency appointment, but it was too late. It could've been something he swallowed, or a blood clot, or an embolism...it's difficult when you never know the answer. This isn't the first time a foster has died in my arms, but I really hope it's the last.
Thank you to Angie, who saved him, and to Frederic, his wonderful foster.

This poor boy has Entropion, which means the eyelids are rolled backwards and his eyelashes are scraping against his right eye. It's SO irritating and painful.
I just didn't have the heart to put him back out, so he's be in a cage in my living room until I can schedule the surgery. It'll probably only be in February because my clinic is backed up, and also it's expensive (around$1000) so I'll have to save up. At least Moyo, which means heart in Swahili (for the little heart-shaped patch between his eyes), is starting to let me pet him!
Ok so I'm just going to keep posting adorable videos of Sparky until he gets adopted. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!
Not that anyone owes me a christmas present, but Sparky finding a family would definitely be the best one. 🥰
What I do to keep the Foster kittens busy while I'm at work 😂
Sparky's foster, Jessica, and I just can't believe he's not adopted yet 🥺
Here's a message she just wrote to me:
"I was on a videocall with my brother back in France today and he was so impressed at how willing Sparky was to get his belly rubbed and how gentle he is overall. He also cannot believe he hasn't been adopted yet. Everyone who sees him tells me how handsome he is.
I really want him to find his forever family, he deserves to be loved by his forever humans."
Please share far and wide, let's get Sparky a home for the holidays ❤️
My newest foster kitty Pepe le Cute loves his veggies 😂
My newest intake. Another traumatized abandoned cat. Thanks to Angie for rescuing him, and to Frederic for agreeing to foster. Hopefully time, patience, and cuddles will help him trust people again.
If you're wondering what happened to all the cats we got yesterday, here are most of them! The adorable kittens I posted yesterday were kept by the spca, yay, and these three beautiful girls are recovering overnight in my apartment before they are released. Makes me sad to have to let them go, but at least now they're vaccinated and sterilized and they have some really excellent feeders who take good care of them.
