Had a wonderful visit with these lovely ladies. Tilly makes a great shadow and follows me everywhere. Phoenix is extremely expressive and loves to talk back. Watching them play was quite funny, especially when Phoenix can fit Tilly in her mouth…😱 but when Tilly has enough she quickly puts Phoenix in her place. They are both good girls and lovely house guests ❤️

LOL Kobe! This guy is a family member. He’ll be 5 this month and has been coming here since he was 3 months old. He believes he rules this house. He does not think he is a dog, rather he identifies as a human scientist and looks down on the rest of us unless we are petting him. We are here to serve. And God forbid I have the audacity to have another dog here, then he ignores me for hours. He is the biggest brat I know, but we love him regardless!

We had the absolute pleasure of dogsitting Sam for the weekend as a trial for an upcoming vacation. Sam is a lovely dog but extremely reactive on the leash. We have some strategies in place for her next visit, but really cannot say enough about how wonderfully trained she is in every other way. ❤️

Aye yai yai this guy. Meet Bowie. Adorable✔️ Sweet✔️ Loving✔️ Wanna smoosh his face when he is calm and behaving himself✔️ Also Bowie: eat a pair of glasses, try to climb on the table to get to my center-piece, take my throw cushions and throw them around the living room (guess that’s why they call them throw cushions! 😆) We had many conversations about boundaries Bowie and I, with and without his spray bottle, all to say he just wanted us close, like all the time…puppies am I right??? ❤️

I have had the opportunity to walk this gentleman not once, but twice this month, and he always warms my heart. As soon as I get there he goes to get his leash and then brings it to me. Then we meander slowly or a do a brisk trot depending on our mood. But each time he turns to give me roobs with his face and I give him skritches. ❤️ I love me my Obie.

Busy, busy, busy, so much doing, no time for posting.😊 The lovely Chewy came for a trial visit. I have been walking this silly rambunctious pup for two years now, but he will be staying with us for an overnight soon, so to help him get comfortable here, we’ve been doing some trials. ❤️

About Us

Welcome to Gen’s Happy Tails.

I have always been an avid dog lover. Big or small, pleasantly plump or sleek and athletic, rowdy pup or tranquil old dog, you will usually find me on the ground playing. I believe a house is not a home unless there’s a dog in it.

We lost our beloved Bailey and our home feels very empty. Although we miss our dog, we’re not quite ready to add another furbaby to our family. So that is how the idea of Gen’s Happy Tails came to be.

I am a mom to wonderful five-year-old and administrative assistant by trade. I am incredibly blessed to have the privilege of working from home, which has allowed me to be available to dog sit.
