Great trail/husband/vaulting/driving horse. Alice is a 17h Belgian mare approx 16 yrs old (not papered). Great on trails, definitely on the lazier kick ride side in the ring but has a super nice tiny rocking horse canter and slow comfy trot and not too hard to get going. Great option for someone that wants a very laidback slower safe horse. Very experienced been there done that driving horse single and double. Easy to catch, good ground manners, not marish she turns out with mares and geldings and not the bossy type gets along with everyone. Trailers great. Typical draft with her feet, you can pick them up but leans on you, not the farrier's favourite lol, barefoot and has decent feet but could use a trim. Affordable in mid lower f o u r s. Great husband/trail/driving horse! Shadow is a 17h Percheron mare, approximately 16 yrs old, super quiet for anyone to ride. Tall and big bodied she can easily handle larger riders comfortably. She has a comfortable little trot and super slow canter that's not at all intimidating even for nervous/beginner riders. Great on trails, not spooky, very laidback and rides out on the buckle. Kind and quiet with excellent ground manners. Just had her driving shoes removed and is adjusting to being barefoot. Easy keeper, no vices, hasn't had maintenance, passive when turned out in a group. Just arrived from an Amish family to be rehomed since they had younger ones to bring along. Nice mare for someone who wants a safe quiet trail horse, big schoolie, or a been there done that driving horse.

The one that will keep your grandma safe! About as safe, bombproof and quiet as you can ask for and her canter is about the speed of your walk! Husband, nervous/first time riders, young kids, beginner schoolie...anyone can ride this mare. And she's a very experienced driving horse as well. Mocha is a very stout built 15.3h Percheron cross mare, mid teens, built like a tank and more than able to carry a heavier or taller rider as she takes up lots of leg. Bombproof trail horse or in the ring, nothing is going to faze her. She's got a super slow trot and a little rocking horse canter. Easy to get going not a heavy kick ride but definitely not strong, heavy or speedy she'll do it all on a loopy rein. This mare is the saintly worth-her-weight-in-gold type that is so hard to find. Sound, barefoot, no maintenance. Easy keeper and passive with other horses. She just arrived looking for a new home and does need her feet trimmed and she's ready to roll for some lucky person. End of season fall dispersal sale. Need to downsize before winter with the crazy prices of hay and feed and bedding. Some nice young horses and also sadly parting with some of our best horses that are tried and true for completely first time riders and little kids on our public trail rides. Most of the trail horses are the older bombproof pokey types nothing fancy but safe for your grandma, husband, or child. Lots of them also drive. Looking for great homes.

***Please don't blow up my inbox with video requests! I'm just posting a list so people know what's coming available as I'm getting asked a lot after posting the black mare. But these are mostly all still working weekends for trail rides and I haven't had a chance to get pics and videos as we weren't quite ready to let them go yet. As I get video of each one I'll make an individual post on that horse. Anyway here's a list and I might still add to it.

Horses not from the trail rides:
- Stunning dark chestnut warmblood gelding 4 yrs, sticks just under 17h. WTC quietly and a big jump. Posting him today. Low 5s.

- Black pinto Shire/Paint cross mare 4 yrs, around 15.2h, quiet WTC and very pretty. Drives as well. High 4s.

- Buckskin dominant white warmblood mare 4 yrs, sticks just under 16h, Westfalen/TB, great mover, WTC and fancy jump, great hunter prospect or color producing broodmare. Reduced price due to an ocd on x-rays but is sound. Low 5s

- Mini black gelding around 36", 9 or 10 yrs old, super sweet quiet and gentle for little kids, rides and drives, just arrived to be sold from Amish family whose kids outgrew him. $1250

- Black rabicano with tons of chrome 7 yrs 16.3h Dutch cross mare. Was WTC and free jumping 1.20m with great form but had a paddock injury to an ankle and is not sound at the moment. Improving and may or may not come riding sound but if not would be a gorgeous broodmare. Low 4s

- Dark bay with chrome KWPN regd mare 14 yrs 16.1h mare, sound and rides but been used for a broodmare with us. Has produced two really tall fancy foals for us and is back in foal for 2025 to perlino Westfalen stallion Bacardi GES for a guaranteed palomino or buckskin foal. High 4s

- palomino large pony gelding, 14.2, 10 yrs, very chunky build and pretty. Has only been driven but we are in the process of starting under saddle. Great project for someone! Mid 4s.

- Black QH gelding 15.2-3h 11 yrs, has had some time with reining trainers with some nice buttons installed - great lateral work and stop, good transitions, quiet lope etc. Really nice mover would make a super hunter/jumper prospect. Has had extensive trail ride miles with a senior lady. High 4s.

Trail ride horses - all of these have been packing first time riders, little kids through seniors, safe and quiet, ride alone or in company, and live out in a mixed group:

Bonnie - black Percheron cross mare SOLD

Joe (pictured) - grey QH gelding, 10 yrs, around 15.1-2h. Our best guide horse and also used for customers. Neck reins, quiet but responsive, well schooled WTC in the ring and on trails. Sound but had an eye injury in his past and little vision in that eye but doesn't faze him he rides like any other horse. Mid 4s.

Norton - 18h Belgian TB cross gelding (typical Belgian color just not quite as heavy as a full Belgian), 9 yrs, rides and drives, quiet gentle giant. Was a 75 yr old man's driving horse until he arrived here recently. Might need some maintenance. Mid 4s

Barney - Bay Belgian/QH cross gelding around 16h, upper teens. WTC but needs leg to get cantering. Absolutely bombproof trail horse, can put anyone on him from little kids to first time riders. Harder keeper and needs weight and individual feed program. Mid 4s.

Nemo - leopard appaloosa gelding, around 15.1h, 18 yrs, our best little kids trail horse, he's super quiet and laidback, stands patiently to be painted for birthday parties with kids all over him, great ground manners. Was previously an English schoolie with little jumps before we got him. Mid 4s

Gerald - Belgian gelding 17.1h age probably 18-20, bombproof, sweet and quiet, anyone can ride him. Previously a driving horse. Always perfectly behaved and safe on the ground and to ride. Came to us from Amish very thin and definitely a hard keeper. Putting weight on with lots of good feed but has a ways to go still. $2500

Chubby - bay pinto Dutch Warmblood mare by Fuhler out of a KWPN mare but her papers were lost, around 16h and about 16-17 yrs old. Have had her about 10 years and been our best broodmare. Did some dressage in her younger years. Good on trails or could be bred again. Has sidebone one front so not sound for more than walking on trails or therapy horse or broodmare . Looking for a great home for her. $2000

**SOLD!** The horse your grandma can ride! Dallas is about as safe and quiet as they come - put a first time rider, a child, a super nervous rider on him and he will totally babysit them. He's an 8 yr old 15h stocky Quarter Horse gelding, former ranch horse from Oklahoma, recently imported to Canada but he's just too pokey for the ranch job. His expertise is being a comfy couch and teacher for anyone that needs an uber safe horse. Bombproof on trails, nothing fazes him, excellent ground manners. Sound, barefoot, not had maintenance, gets along great with other horses, and is ready to look after his next rider. Every trainer needs this kind of horse in their barn! He's going to make someone very happy and I don't expect will be here long! Located west of Toronto but can arrange shipping anywhere in Canada or the US.

Who is horse shopping?! We just had several very nice schoolie/child/husband/first horse types come in looking for new addresses and two big H/J types also. A couple more arriving on consignment also over the next week. Here's a brief list but stay tuned to my timeline and we'll post each individually as we get pics and videos....so please don't comment or message asking for videos right now as I will certainly post each when done! These are all in the 3-10 🥕 range. **Pic is of horse 1 who is super cute!**

1 - 14 yr old Welsh/Arab cross chestnut mare, sticks maybe 1/2" over 14.2h but needs a trim, won't guarantee she'll measure but it's very close. Great mover and an auto lead change. Been a child's pony, done local shows english and western, not been started over fences but will over the next week.

2 - 15 yr old Welsh/QH cross bay large pony, have to stick her still but in the 14-14.1h range. Been in a riding school, shown locally by kids on the flat and western games, super safe teacher and very cute. English and Western, also not started over fences but will be over the next week.

3 - 8 yr old 15h chestnut stocky QH gelding, former ranch horse from the US, super quiet kick type ride, has some nice buttons, bombproof trail horse, suitable for kids or adults.

4 - 4 yr old Percheron cross mare, black, approx 16h (need to stick her still), experienced driver and just started under saddle.

5 - 5 yr old 17.1h dark bay Dutch cross gelding, an absolute snugglebug, sweetest horse to work with, super quiet, rides and drives, very handsome guy, nice H/J prospect.

6 - 10 yr old black Friesian cross gelding, approx 16.2h, chunky build, super quiet ride WTC, also drives, stunning looking horse, also nice H/J, foxhunter, or dressage prospect.

7 - 15 yr old 17h grey Percheron mare, experienced driving horse, kick ride WTC and great on trails.

8 - 15 yr old 16.1h+ dark bay Thoroughbred mare, very nice mover, WTC, needs weight and she'll be lovely.

9 - 17 yr old 15.1h chestnut Thoroughbred mare, been used for complete first time riders in the ring and on trails, bombproof trail horse, sweet and safe mare.

10 - 12 yr old 16h purebred Friesian mare, don't have her papers, rides great, very quiet, and also drives, been a broodmare last few years, lost her foal this year and owner has decided not to breed back. Needs weight.

Looking for a unique family getaway? We offer a peaceful family oriented farm vacation rental in beautiful Mount Forest, 1.5 hours northwest of Toronto airport. Public horseback trail rides and kid's summer riding camps right on site! Rental units are in a quiet setting and back right onto our serene forest and river that runs through the property with our own private bridge. Two freshly renovated private self contained one-bedroom and two-bedroom units that combine to sleep up to 14 people. One full kitchen, one kitchenette, two full bathrooms, 3 bedrooms with 4 queen beds plus 2 sofa beds and 2 rollaway single beds, two living rooms with TVs, 2 dining areas plus private outdoor dining patio with BBQ, WIFI, A/C, fire pit in forest right beside the river.

Units can be rented individually or in combination, they have separate entrances but can open up through a common foyer. Preference will be given to renters booking both spaces. **NOTE - we are a FAMILY oriented working farm in a very quiet mostly Mennonite community and are not suitable for groups for parties and late night noise. Units are located on the bottom two levels of our large 4 story home with owners in residence. If you are looking for a fun and different family getaway and love outdoor activities we can help! Tons of great things to do in the area. Our river is great for kids to splash, play and explore in but not deep enough for adult swimming however we are conveniently located to several great swimming options, nature trails, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, quaint country shopping and of course riding horses at our facility. Elora Gorge river tubing is a 40 minute drive and great family fun as well.
