Comment your favorite local small businesses!

I have never made a politically motivated post before, but we are now facing a world that looks very different from just 30 days ago. A world where human rights are under daily threat and where political decisions threaten to destabilize our economy as if it were merely a game.

Since day one, I have prioritized using locally sourced ingredients and supporting Canadian businesses. While this has not always been entirely possible or feasible, my commitment to this goal is stronger now than ever before.

We have always used high-quality, human-grade ingredients, and that will never change. From locally sourced Newfoundland honey, beef kidney, beef heart, and local vegetables (when available), our focus remains on quality and supporting local producers & businesses.

While I am fortunate that this has always been a priority for me, certain changes must be made. I can no longer, in good conscience, support a foreign economy that seeks to harm ours. As a result, our oat flour will now be made in-house using 100% Canadian oats, which may change the look of some products, but not the quality. Some packaging will be adjusted, and certain products may be temporarily unavailable until a Canadian supplier can be secured.

To each and every one of you who chooses to support local businesses, whether through purchases, shares, or engagement - thank you. Your support makes a real difference.

I understand that not everyone will agree with this post, and that’s okay. Fortunately, we still have the right to hold and express different perspectives.

Judges birthday is this month as well, its hard to believe he's going to be 3 in just a couple of weeks! How old is your doggo(s)?

Miss Leeloo needs our help, everyone!! Leeloo is owned by a good friend of mine, and recently was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, went through amputation, and chemo. She's doing great right now, and we hope she'll continue to beat the odds and kick cancers butt!!

I'd love if you can take a moment to help get this girlie through to the next round! Let's help my favorite tripod!

Let's talk about the new Carnivore Crunch-Its & Peanut Butter Crunch-Its!

Beef lovers will be all over these ones. I slow cook beef sirloin, heart, kidneys, and a little liver in these ones! Once the meat is cooked I sear it off to get all that extra flavor out of them.

The peanut butter uses 3 types of peanut butter, regular, peanut butter powder, and peanut butter chips to get the right consistency for hand pouring into the small molds!

Each batch low bakes for 25 minutes before going on the dehydrators to remove moisture, allowing these treats to be stored for longer when they are kept cool and dry!

If moisture does get reintroduced, you can also freeze them!

Only $12.50 each and they will be making their way into our valentines box, which will be released on Friday!

We're adding some new flavors to the rebranded Crunch-Its line!!

Carnivore Crunch & Peanut butter! Cheezie & Blueberry Kefir are sticking around as well!

In the coming weeks, we'll be adding even more flavors to the line, and I'm experimenting with some completely new treats as well, just haven't quite gotten what I like yet!

Currently available at Jack of All Tails and will be in stock at The Doghouse this week!

I think every illness in the city has passed through our house in the last couple of weeks, so I've been pretty quiet.

We have some new treats planned for this year, and I am taking cake orders.

Our valentines box will be released next week for your much loved Doggo's.

Happy Rainbow Bridge Birthday, Icarus, on what would have been your 15th birthday. I hope the goodest good boy is chasing balls, eating beef, and cake smashing his way through the day. There wouldn't be a Doggo's without him. He was my inspiration, my reason, and my biggest critic but the best taste tester around.

You were the happiest boy, eternally. We miss you immensely.
You lived a great life, not nearly long enough, but forever wouldn't be long enough for a boy like you.

As 2024 comes to a close I have to thank each and every one of you who supported Doggo's this year, whether you bought cakes, holiday boxes, treats, or liked, commented & shared posts. Thank you! Happy New Year from our home to yours.

I also have to take a moment to brag about Judges great year after back to back TPLO's at the end of last year. Many of you may not know that Judge participates in local dog shows.
I'm so proud to say that he finished 2024 as the #2 Mastiff in Canada! How cool is that for our first show dog!!

Many of you also may not know that you don't need to have a CKC registered purebred to participate in most dog sports!

Judge earned his CKC Championship, Scent Detection Instinct, a high in class on his first rally run & earned his versatility novice title this year. He also had a phenomenal year outside of pretty dog things.

He finished his Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, Novice Master, and Trick dog register of merit titles and added an additional 14 fun titles to the mix!
A total of 23 titles this year, and we had a blast with all of them!

There's so much you can do with your dogs!

In the coming weeks, I'll be putting together a basket draw filled with Doggo's favorites to help raise money for the Canadian Mastiff Club rescue which aims to keep Mastiffs out of shelters, help those that do end up in them, and help with the medical costs for some of those dogs.

Well.... I made a mistake today! Someone's bakery box does not look like what's pictured...

I inadvertently passed out a custom order box of all cannolis instead of a bakery box. I have no idea who I passed that cannoli box out to, but, please check your boxes, send me a pic, and we'll arrange to get your bakery box to you!
