Booties are adorable and practical—but your pet might need a refresher course to wear them comfortably.
Here’s how:

1️⃣ Start indoors. Let them sniff and wear the booties for short periods.

2️⃣ Reward with treats and praise to make it a paws-itive experience!

3️⃣ Gradually increase the wear time and take it to the great (chilly) outdoors.
Before you know it, they’ll be strutting their stuff like pros. 🐾👢

We hate to say it but it's coming! As the temperatures drop, there's many important things for us to remember to ensure our pets safety and comfort
Did you know -Not all snow is created equal? Especially when it comes to your pet’s paws!

🐾 As the temperatures drop, remember to use pet-safe ice melt to keep your furry friend’s feet happy and healthy. Regular salt can cause irritation or even burns, and nobody wants that!

Tip: Wipe their paws after every walk to keep them safe from any hidden salt or chemicals.

🧼❄️ Stay safe, stay cozy, and keep those paws protected!

Bring your furry friends to snap a holiday photo with Santa! 🎅🐾

We’re welcoming all pets that can fit inside (sorry, no horses allowed!), but please make sure your leash-trained pets are on a leash and smaller pets are in secure kennels. There will be lots of other animals around, so we want to keep everyone calm and cozy—no surprises while Santa’s in the spotlight!

This event is first-come, first-served, so get here early! We’ll be registering families in the parking lot in order of arrival and will guide you to the side entrance when it’s your turn to meet Santa.

We’re asking for cash donations to benefit Uniacke Wishgivers—anything you can give is appreciated, but we’re hoping for at least $10 per family.

Last week, we all fell in love with Waylon and his adorable ears! 🐾💙

This sweet Basset Hound is proof that big ears and a droopy face make the perfect combination for maximum cuteness. 😍

Here are 5 fun facts about Basset Hounds:

🦴 Basset Hounds are known for their incredible sense of smell—second only to Bloodhounds!

🐾 They were originally bred for hunting small game, so their short legs and long ears are perfect for tracking scents close to the ground.

💤 Basset Hounds are calm and laid-back, but don’t be fooled—they’re also very stubborn when it comes to doing things their way!

👃 Their long ears help to funnel scents toward their nose, making them expert trackers.

🐶 Despite their droopy eyes and sleepy demeanor, Basset Hounds are actually quite social and love spending time with their humans.

Waylon’s ears may steal the show, but his whole personality is just as lovable! 🐕

This month, we’ve had the absolute joy of welcoming some of the sweetest kittens and puppies into the Uniacke Lakes Animal Hospital family! 🐱🐶

Whether they’re rolling around in their first playtime or snuggling up for a nap, these adorable furballs have stolen our hearts! 💖

A big thank you to their amazing families for trusting us with their care as they grow up happy and healthy. 🌟 We can’t wait to watch them bloom into the best companions!
