New ewe lambs on the farm. Start to a new breed on the farm. Our first shropshires. I purchased these 2 from Son Risen Farm over the weekend, and am very pleased with the purchase.

That time of year again. Rising Oak Bud 90H is in with his Dorsets and 1 Suffolk, and McDermit 44J RR is in with 7 Dorsets for now, with 3 waiting for later on in the fall.

Some new additions to the flock. New ram lamb Mcdermit 44J RR. 4 new ewes coming from across Canada, Mcdermit 195J, Mcdermit 198J, Rising Oak Joyce 27J, and Burtwistle 37K. Then two home grown fall born ewe lambs Cuddy 12J and Cuddy 14J.

Well here is the biggest lamb I have had on the farm. This big guy was a struggle getting out coming backwards, but seems to be doing fine. Weighing in at 20.3 pounds, out of our Blackie ram. Hoping the rest aren't this big.

Lambing 2022 came with an early arrival of this ewe lamb, a week early exactly, out of our new Ram Rising Oak Bud. The rest will start lambing this weekend on.

Only have 2 ewes to lamb this fall, but here is our first and she is a cracker. Her dam is a little over weight, but this is what she looks like all the time. Good replacement ewe for Rising Oak Bud, or an entry for the classic.
