Pee-Wee handling pictures from the NSDTR-USA National! These kids never seize to amaze me. They are learning so much & having a great time.
Thank you to Til Niquidet, our WKKC Junior handling coach. You meet each of these kids where they're at, and find a way to connect with them, engage them, and encourage them.
To Shelby Lynn Westmoreland thank you for putting on the little duckling parade! Junior/Pee-Wee judge Kate Abeshaus, you are amazing! Your smile & enthusiasm with the kids was second to none. And thank you Brooke for donating your awesome colourings books as prizes. 💕 it took a village to put this on for the kiddos and you all rocked it!

Finally time to post our Conformation & performance pictures from the 2024 NSDTR-USA National in Lodi, California. Pee-wee pictures to come.

BOW & Best Bred by Exhibitor in conformation, and a Q in our Novice A obedience - obedience really stresses me out 🤣 we were the only qualifier of 9 entries, and while our performance was mediocre at best, I'm proud of us for pulling it together enough for a Q. Such a challenging venue!!

I really love this dog. I can't wait to see what else we accomplish.

Our mentor Pikkinokka Kennels has a girl available from their Tank x Jett littter!! Having met puppies from this litter I can attest to their temperaments. Absolutely lovely puppies.

A note from the breeder "This girl has excellent structure with performance potential. Hoping she will be just the right pick for a competitive trainer. She is confident and attentive, very motivated to learn. " She would also do well in an active pet home.

Happy 2nd birthday to our Written in the Stars litter!!! I can't believe these puppies are 2 already.

I am so proud of them all, from fantastic pets to amazing performance dogs!!! Thank you Til Niquidet for this pairing - I couldn't be more fortunate to have this litter as my first generation of Monarda.

Updates from our puppy owners!!!

This is "Cassi" Monarda's Fortune Teller RN TDCH SD1-SR.

She is a full litter sister to our Rosie & Henley. Cassi was the puppy in the litter that was go, go, go... leaping and bounding off things at 5 weeks old 🤣 No wonder she is excelling at everything her owner does!

"In Late 2023 she got her RN and in April she got her TDCH and a couple of weeks ago her SD-1 SR. She has cues in AAC agility and CKC agility and one more leg needed for her Rally Intermediate. We also just ran sprinters last weekend-have never done that before. We went down for the two runs on Saturday-in the pouring rain-and Cassi did well. Especially that 2nd run, she ran hard. So next march we will run it again and get her NS. In the next month and a half we have a packed schedule with an agility fun match, an agility trial and then early dec an agility seminar. Also rally and obedience trial mid nov. We also have a nosework trial in November. Pictures from her sprinter run. "

Now that we are home from California, we can formally introduce our newest addition at Monarda Kennels. We are so excited for you all to meet "Tess" - Ederra's Blue Queen of Monarda

This breed has fascinated me for quite some time and I feel blessed to be supported by long time breeder Maria Arechaederra & team. Thank you for trusting me with this beautiful girl, and for spending time with us in Lodi!!!

"Well, today we got our final Q for our Senior Barnhunt title....RATS. Henley did so great. We also earned another 110 points in Crazy 8s.
Tomorrow we are going to go for it and try a run in Masters! Yikes!!" - Diana

HOLY!!!!!! What a day!!!!!!!

After almost 2 years these pups and their humans finally got to hang out in person! It's amazing how you can feel like you've known someone your entire life and yet had never met them face to face!!! It was a pretty good "thanksgiving" for us Canadians down here in California!

A huge congratulations to our friends Josh & Clara, with "Arwen" for passing their WC at the toller national. You guys rock!!!

One more brag about our Rosie & her little Pee-Wee handler Dax! What an adorable team, just LOOK at how cute they are!!!!!
The temperament on this dog is second to none, not only is she amazing with her own kids but she works for any little human on the end of the lead! Dax is only 4.5 years old, and they met about 15 minutes before going in the ring.

Everything about her is a testament to 37 years of dedicated breeding by our mentor Pikkinokka Kennels, there aren't enough "thank you's" in the world.

Rosie was introduced to her half-siblings today. She's such a wonderful puppy ♡ so proud to have her as my own.

RAW FOOD PREP!!!! Our mentor has been feeding her tollers raw for 25+ years. Feeding raw unprocessed food is top priority for the health & longevity of our dogs. This afternoon I ground chicken in preparation for next week. We start them slowly on ground chicken & goats milk between 3-4 weeks of age.
