As this year comes to an end we’d like to reflect on the great year our kennel had!

#1 Chinese Crested and the #7 Toy dog in Canada for 2023!!

What an incredible journey Secret has taken us on this year! We set our goals for the year back in January and Secret far exceeded every one of them. From being awarded Best in Show, Multiple Reserve Best in Shows and multiple back to back group 1st wins to ending the year as the #1 Chinese Crested and #7 toy dog in Canada. We are so proud of all of her accomplishments and so appreciative of all the judges that continue to recognize our special girl.

Secret is an amazing dog in and out of the ring. She embraces and exudes so much of what makes a great show dog and also an amazing and loving family member. We are forever thankful for her breeders Melissa Anne Wood and Tammy Wood (Winwood) for sending this girl to us at Swifthaven.

Only shown two days in Canada this year and Willis did not let us down! Willis won the 2023 Canadian Chinese Crested Club of Canada National Show! Willis also made a couple trips to the USA and was awarded a major and most of his points for his American championship!

We look forward to getting back in the ring in 2024!

Yesterday December 10 we welcomed six beautiful Crested babies! Three hairy hairless and three powder puffs. Two hairless boys and one puff boy, one hairless girl and two puff girls.

“Missy” Shantel’s Miss Kitty is the mother and “Willis” Multi RBIS and BISS GCHB. Swifthaven Whatcha Talk’n About are such proud parents!

We are very excited to announce we are expecting a litter mid December!!! It’s been over four years since our last litter. Can’t thank Cyndi Egbert of Shantel Chinese Cresteds for sharing her beautiful Missy with me for this litter!!

Both sire and dam have dna testing recommended for the breed. Have basic OFA heart tests, CERF and OFA patella test.

Sire is Multi RBIS, 2023 Chinese Crested Club of Canada National Specialty winner GCHB. Swifthaven Whatcha Talk’n About “Willis”

Secret and River(MAS) have had a great couple shows. Secret picked up some lovely group placements in competitive toy groups and River got two legs towards his rally novice title! Excited to get back in the ring soon with both dogs!

So happy with how he showed in the crazy wind and chilly morning! Cresteds showed at 8:30 this morning. His first show this year and happy he hasn’t forgotten what to do. He was so happy to see other Cresteds in the ring.

Secret started out June on a high note winning her second Reserve Best in Show at the northern Alberta canine association show! She also went group 2 at the Alberta Toy Specialty and another group 2 in the all breed. We are over the moon with this girl!
Currently the #1 Chinese Crested and #2 Toy in Canada 🇨🇦
