New dates added for my Dog Ownership Seminar in 2025 🥳 Start the New Year with a whole new perspective on training your dog. $30 covers everything to get you started and attendance grants you a HUGE 30% discount on in-home lessons!

These seminars are for PEOPLE ONLY (no dogs) and will be in a group setting.
Stay tuned for up coming workshops where your dog will be invited to join!

This seminar will focus on a baseline training program that works for dogs of all ages and everyone is welcome. Clients who have trained with me in the past will recognize this as my highly successful “First class” as it is ALL of the info I usually provide to my in-home training clients on our first time meeting each other. This information has proven to be life changing for most dogs and owners.

What will be covered?
Home management and establishing routine
Prey drive Vs Defence drive, and how it affects your dogs mental state as well as your approach to training
An introduction to how dogs learn and how we can teach in a way they understand
Information regarding reward systems and how to use them effectively
Tips for recall, basic obedience, crate training, reactivity and more!

There will also be a question and answer period, as well as an opportunity to meet the trainer (me!). Snacks and refreshments provided!

Boarding school = Monday - Friday boarding/travelling with the trainer, home each weekend with homework. A great option for basic training!

Board and train = Intensive program, an uninterrupted stay of three weeks or more living with the trainer. This option allows for more in depth training and in the most popular

All programs include follow up classes

Please note I do not provide short term boarding. Previous clients are always welcome to return for maintenance visits/vacations.

What is Walk and Train?

The idea behind this program is for me to work one on one with your dog daily and basically do your homework for you. I offer private in home lessons but sometimes the handler is really struggling with learning the skills or can’t apply them for whatever reason. Others like the idea of combining exercise with learning and take advantage of using this option so their dog also gets out at midday while they are at work.

Four days a week, your dog walks with a trainer and gets to learn skills such as heel, sit, down, stay and come. Additionally, I work on confidence building and exposure to new areas and places. This is really helpful when you have a puppy who needs to see the world but you have a busy schedule!

This program has been available since I opened the business and has successfully helped many dogs overcome fears and reactivity issues, as well as teaches excellent leash manners. I currently have openings starting next week (within Napanee only)

With dog walking being up and running again, I thought I would share some things to note for walking clients!

☔️ Please leave a towel by the door for rainy days

🍪 Treats provided on the house! Let me know if there is any stomach upset

🪲 Please keep flea and tick meds up to date, as well as Rabies vaccinations (Kennel cough vaccine NOT required)

🤒 Please communicate if your dog is unwell or injured, as well as if any humans in the house are sick!

💦 Ensure your dog has access to water after the walk. Happy to fill the dish if it’s left out

💩 Communicate where your outside garbage or preferred drop off spot is

🗣️ While I love to chat, I do have to keep a tight schedule and will likely be in a rush. Please communicate any important info or scheduling via text or phone call

✅ Happy to share progress reports! I also post in my stories as often as I can

🐕 Owners cannot join on walks, but I do offer additional packages that include a lesson for you to learn how to walk using the same skills

🤪 You will hear me talking total happy nonsense to your dog, including songs and ridiculous nicknames. This isn’t part of training, this is just me enjoying my job.

📆 Walks take place Monday to Thursday between 9am-12pm. Please ensure your dog is home at this time. Payment is due every two weeks prior to walks starting.

Doesn’t seem like much, but this video is a pretty big deal!!! 🤩 Coba has struggled with anxiety on his walks. Prior to training, was totally overwhelmed by the excitement of being outside and wouldn’t engage with his handler. He was prone to screaming in frustration, particularly while going back to the house, making walking seemingly impossible (and embarrassing!). Despite receiving puppy training, this dog didn’t know how to manage the leash tension or how to communicate with his handler. That was then, this is now! Today Coba was not only able to lure for food (something he couldn’t do before) but he was also able to cross the street towards his home with engagement and without screaming 😱 He loves his walks and is so much happier. I’m so proud of his progress 🥹 His handler signed up for both in home lessons and walks with me, and now his future is so bright. None of this would be possible without a dedicated handler. I truly appreciate when my clients take the information they learn and work hard to achieve results. As a team, we are able to change ANY dogs behaviour!
