To all clients coming from Warman or osler, do be aware that roadwork will be happening on the blacktop before neuhorst. I'm not exactly sure where the construction starts or ends. As soon as I know I will update this.

Neuhorst Road (3050) Work

The RM of Corman Park has advised us that rebuilding of one mile of Range Road 3050 is currently planned to start early the week of August 14, 2023. The Contractor is currently expecting the construction to take 20 – 30 days. The Contractor is planning on working 6 days on and 1 day off, working around 12 hours a day (7 am – 7 pm).
Residents may need to access the hamlet by Road 400 from highways 11 or 12 during the construction.
We have asked that signage be put in place so as to avoid heavy traffic on the hamlet street during the construction. Please let one of the members of the hamlet executive know if you see lots of additional heavy traffic on the street so we can advise the RM.

Just a reminder to all clients, as of the beginning of last year(2022) there is a fee for not showing up to a scheduled appointment. If you can't make it, give me a shout, and I can get someone in from the cancelation list, as there's usually plenty of folks waiting to get their pups in. A call(with hopefully a couple hours notice) will result in no fee being charged.

Dr. Petruka plucked the first tick found this spring off a client's dog just 2 days ago!

If you have not started your pet's tick prevention now is the time. The weather has been above 0 for over a week and they are becoming more active looking for a host to take a meal from.

As of Monday November 16 masks will be required when dropping your pets off for grooming. Neuhorst is one of the communities that made the list where masks were mandatory for public places. Being a registered and licensed business I must follow health orders. Thank you for your cooperation 😷
I've got the perfect mask for a groomer, thank you to one of my wonderful clients. I really appreciate being thought of 😊

I think it's safe to say no one is getting down our village road in Neuhorst tomorrow😬. I had a full day booked and will hopefully get everyone switched to Wednesday (remembrance day) if possible. I will be home to work if you can get here, but I'm not sure it's worth chancing it. I'll try giving everyone a call in the morning. If you call me, I may be outside trying to dig out ❄️❄️❄️🌨️🌬️🌬️

'She had a really weird cough': How a common w**d can pose a threat to dogs in Saskatoon

A very real thing to watch for. Just yesterday one of my clients had to be sedated and removed from down his throat. Luckily his mum was on top of it and caught before it caused him more discomfort or more damage down the throat.

Last summer, Carolyn Barton noticed something was off with her dog Abby, after she had come in from her family’s backyard in the Rosewood neighbourhood.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know I am still open during this crazy time. I am asking everyone to stay outside and either put your pup with their leash attached in the kennel on my deck and ring the bell or just pass the leash of to me and have conversation at a distance. I am still accepting cash or cheque as well. E-transfer doesn't often work well with the poor cell service in neuhorst. I do have hand sanitizer out for anyone to use as well.
Also be aware that I am booking a ways out. Like last year I would recommend booking ahead of possible to ensure you have dates you want.

Just to let everyone know, ticks are now out. I have gotten word some dogs have picked them up at the warman dog park already. Most ppl think they are only in tall grasses or out in the country, but the nasty little buggers are everywhere at this point. I even find then on pups who are only in their well kept yards in town.
