Our young vorwerks are growing up beautiful, the black is starting to fade out of their buff coluring and into the head and tail with just a bit under their wings. I won’t be offering this breed until 2024, only roosters are available when I get to many.

Emily’s feathered friends is going to be offering vorwerks, lakenvelder, silician buttercup, brown red oeg bantams, in 2024 or perhaps earlier in 2023, these are very rare and hard breeds to find but we hope to improve on these breeds.

55 flowery hens are a rare auto sexing breed, they were bred using different strains of white and brown leghorns, and became known as a breed in 1955 and originated in sweden by Martin silverudd who also created the silverudd isbar and many more breeds. They come in gold and silver, our hens are gold in colour but the rooster is silver producing either silver or gold chicks. they lay a large white egg laying 200-250 eggs per year. We are offering hatching eggs this year (their is a wait list) or you can place an order on the number of eggs you’d like us to hatch for you with a down payment (you must take both male and female chicks that hatch out).

Fertility rate has been 95%.
The hens are ameracauna, wyandotte, Easter egger, 55 flowery, lavender Orpington, barnavelder, speckled Sussex mix, serama, old English game bantam and Japanese bantam mix, the roosters are legbar barred rock mix, Easter egger mix, barred rock mix.

The spangled old English game bantams are starting to lay now out some in the incubator their are going to be some available mid April.

some of our spangled old English game bantams this year, chicks are going to be available in late March, the old English game bantams are my personal favourite breed, I find them very gentle birds, they are great free rangers for backyard chickens, and do good in the cold I find.
