Echo loved everyone she met , if you were not petting her she would let you know she needed some loving . Today we said goodbye to our beautiful girl . Echo will be happy to be with her dog siblings , Elliott, Eydie , Sammi , Emmerson , Kimi and Ernie . When it is my time to cross over , I will see all of my pups in the Sky Dog Park . Miss and love you all my pups 💔💔💔💔

Grief is not concrete . It is insidious … grief creeps up out of my soul . … and hits me out of nowhere . I obsess going through rescues and Kijiji , to look for you … but I can’t find you . My heart is broken .

Over the Weekend Ernie stopped eating and just wanted to sleep . I think that he must have missed riding in my Jeep with Elliott and his bestest little sister Eydie . Ernesto aka Ernie our Soi Thai dog has crossed the Bridge this afternoon . We will miss you Ernie .

Eydie has lost the fight against Mast Cell Cancer . She was the sweetest pup until her last breath . We will miss her and so will our other pups .

Eydie was diagnosed with Mast Cell Cancer on her back leg . In 3 weeks the tumour was the size of a softball . She was so uncomfortable ( even w pain meds ) and it was difficult for her to walk and be a dog .
When a dog has had enough of this life , they let you know . Eydie wasn’t ready to cross over . We have a wonderful Vet , Dr. White who we discussed the prognosis of this type of cancer and also the best way for pain control . We decided on amputation, not for a cure but for pain control and the best possible life she can have until it is her time to go .
It is amazing how quickly a dog can recover from a large surgery and walk on 3 legs . But then again Eydie is quite the dog ❤️

Eydie , came with us to visit friends & family in Northwestern Ontario. When we came back home I noticed a huge swelling on her right hip . Off we go to the Vet . Eydie has an aggressive tumor , once again we will be off to our Vets. Possible amputation, most likely not . Next step would be helping her cross over to join her big brother Elliott . Right now , pain control , lots of love and special treats . Of course my heart is breaking 💔💔💔💔💔💔

I tried this leash once with a medium size dog . The lead twisted around my fingers as my dog ran to someone to be petted . I thought my fingers were going to be amputated !
Never ever use these leashes !

Dad has been away working on the St. Lawrence River and now home until the next cruise . This is what Echo is thinking , Mum does not fall for my tricks . Hmm Dad is home , so I will go to the door & bark to go outside ( I have to bark b/c Mum took away the bell strip that notifies the “Humans “ that they need to go out . Yes , I must admit I used that bell strip to open up the patio door . I regress . Dad is home , if I pretend that I want to go outside , he gets up , then I run around the couch . Since Dad is up I go to where the cookies are and ask for a cookie . It isn’t for me … I am thinking of my 5 brothers and sisters who really Need to have treats . Please help us ❣️Our humans need to give us more treats ❣️ Press like to tell our Mum and Dad we need more treats . Please be our voice … love Echo and the Newboro Crooked Dogs Society .
