Wondering about what to bring with your pet when they come to stay with us at Reina's Rabbits?

Here's a short list to help you out!

• Pellets: Bring enough for the entire boarding stay if not feeding Oxbow/Martin's, as sudden diet changes can upset digestion.

• Hay: If your rabbit/guinea pig has a specific brand or type preference, bring a sufficient supply. We need at least two day's worth to transition to our hay with.

• Favourite blanket: Just make sure it is clean and hair free upon arrival.

• Cage/Carrier: For safe transport and potential use during the stay.

• Favorite Toys: Familiar toys to keep them entertained and to chew on

• Medication: Clearly labeled with instructions if they require any.

• Treats: Limited amounts of familiar treats as an occasional reward.

Meet Hazel!

Hazel is ready to find her forever home 🏡

She came to us after her older owner passed away and their family could not provide proper care. She is about 4 years old, originally adopted from OSPCA with the bottoms of her ears already missing (frostbite?).

Once she arrived we realized she needed major dental surgery. Luckily we were able to fundraise and get enough to have the surgery done! Hazel is now recovered, and although she will always need her teeth checked frequently (we check at least once a week), she is ready to go to her new home!

Hazel loves her salads twice daily, lots of hay, her raised bed (maybe a couch in her future??), and lots of pats! She comes when called, and does not even try to go on hard floors (carpet only for this girl). Hazel is spayed, easy to handle, used to dogs and cats and kids and is the cleanest rabbits we have ever had! She always uses her litter box!!
