Believe it or not, the pattern for these stars was released 3 years ago (!!!) but it took me till this year to ask my hubby to help with the stand. A few tips in this video to show how you can straighten your nativity characters if they have been played with or taken out of storage from the previous year and don't seem to be standing properly. • • 1) Make sure the river rocks at the bottom are creating a smooth base (just play around with them until they do!) • • 2) Squish 'em! Watch the video to see what I mean! • • They still are light little guys, even with the small rocks to weigh them down. So it's a good idea to place them on a spot that won't get bumped into very often. We had so much fun playing with the #crochetedwaterballoons this afternoon! • • It's amazing how much water these hold with the type of yarn used. They make quite the splash, and can be used 2-3 times before they need to be re-soaked. • • They do collect grass and dirt, but they rinse well. You just need to replace the water from time to time as sooner or later your pail will be empty! While refilling the pail of water, just give the balloons a rinse as well and get ready for more play time! • • Then, after you are finished playing, just toss them in the wash! • • These do not hurt upon contact (unless of course you whip them with severe force).
