Boarding and Grooming Facility Manager:

The new BHS Boarding and Grooming Facility will provide a reliable source of revenue to assist with the operational expenses of the Battlefords Humane Society Shelter.

As the BHS Boarding and Grooming Facility Manager, your role will be to oversee the day to day operations and provide high-quality service that will help attract and maintain clientele.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee operations for all aspects of the Facility
Hire, train and supervise staff
Create work schedules
Develop and enforce policies and procedures
Ensure a high quality of care for all animals
Ensure a clean and well maintained Facility
Prepare and deliver operational reports to a Board of Directors

*Experience with animals is essential

This is a full-time position (40+ hours / week)

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Things on the new build are moving along right on track. The cat cages and dog runs are ordered as well as the grooming equipment. They are getting ready to pour the floor and continue with exterior work. Weekly update on the Phase 1 progress!! Working on exterior framings and walls as well as getting the roof on!! It is going up so quickly and we are super excited. Don’t forget to check out the website to see ways you can help with Phase 2 which will be construction of the new Humane Society. There are still many donation levels available and we need your help!!

Update on the build!! They have started framing the exterior walls and will continue with that this week. It is so exciting to see this project underway but we still need your support. Hey everybody!! I’m sure most of you have noticed that construction has started on Phase 1 of our Capital Project, which is the boarding, grooming, training, and daycare facility. So here’s a little update on the last few weeks!! The land has been cleared and the foundation has been poured. We have our holding tank in for the septic and we have started on the exterior framework. This week coming up, construction on the framework will continue. We will continue to update you as we go along so keep and eye on our page!!

Hey Everybody!!!!! Guess What??!! We are so excited to announce that Monday May 16th, We will be BREAKING GROUND on Phase 1 of our Capital Campaign at 10:00 AM. We are so excited to start this new venture and we can't wait to provide new services to The Battlefords and Area!! Please join us if you wish at our new location on Highway 4 North (right beside Outback RV and LOL Kanine Spa) as we "Dig Up Some Dirt for the Dogs"!!

We wanted to show appreciation for each of our supporters at every level by creating opportunities for choice and recognition!

Foundation level donors will receive:
🐾 A permanent display of the donation on a plaque in the selected area of the shelter.
🐾 A permanent display of the donor and donation amount on the Pawprint Wall in the front lobby.
🐾 A public acknowledgement and thank you formally recognizing the donation.
🐾 A "Shelter Us" Campaign Certificate for the donor to display at their home or business.

Event is nearing! Volunteers needed!

We are hosting our Father/Daughter Winter Wonderland next weekend (March 12th, 2022) and are in need of volunteers to help with this event. We need people to help decorate the morning of the event, sell tickets for lottery and 50/50 draw, help with the photo booth, help with silent auction, bartenders for the non-alcoholic bar, and help cleaning up at the end of the night. If you are able to lend a hand, please contact Michelle by text or phone at 306-481-3976 or message through our page. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Thank You!!
