They are a shortbread type cookie, dipped in almonds with an amarena cherry
Spending time with her in Greece in the 70's was so special. She was the sweetest yet strongest woman you could ever meet. She taught me so much about the kitchen. Like how to peel potatoes with a knife, not a peeler, and how to beat butter by hand to make cookies. She did not have the convenience of a mixer.

Finally baking for my hoomans. Always a mix of traditional Greek Christmas cookies and from around the world. I love this time of tear so much. The smells are incredible.
These are Kourambiethes- a sort of soft shortbread with almonds and then as soon as tge come out of the oven, covered in icing sugar.
Made a little pit stop at the Oakville Humane Society to make sure all the pups have something special for Christmas morning!
