We did not get lovebirds to breed, but Lyra has other intentions for us. As a single bird, she laid her first clutch at 9 months, and was determined to become a mother. e Double Factor Violet Peachface hatched Feb 22, 2021 to Everest and Yara of New Moon Aviary. His grandparents also from New Moon are Eclipse and Fury, Calypso and Blossom. We do not take our responsibility as breeding lovebird owners lightly. We love and cherish every life they create allowing them the space to raise their chicks until they are ready to leave the nest. We take the time to spend with the chicks (and parents) handling them regularly, making sure they are healthy and finding loving homes for each one. Our birds are fed a mixed diet of seed, pellet and fresh veggies.
