We’re seeking detailed oriented individuals with a passion for animals, ability to handles dogs of all sizes, & the ability to successfully multi-task/work quickly on their feet outside in the play yards and inside the kennel.
Kennel attendants are responsible for the overall care/well-being of our furry guests. Duties include:

🐾General care such as feeding, cleaning up poop/pee/vomit (Getting dirty is part of our job!), monitoring dog play groups and potty breaks, bringing dogs to and from suites to play area and cleaning up dog suites. Interacting with cats, cleaning cat houses.

🐾Interact with customers in a Friendly professional manner during dog and cat handovers.

🐾Maintain a clean & healthy environment (cleanliness of the entire facility including, boarding suites, laundry, dishes , reception areas and outside grounds.)

🚨🐾🚨 POSITIONS /SCHEDULE 🚨🐾🚨

We’re hiring 1-2 part time positions Part time positions will have the opportunity to move to full time, if requested. Starting wage is $17.40 with work evaluations after 3 months.

Scheduling include, weekend and holidays. While we currently need more evening 5-9pm coverage there is also day shifts Saturday/Sunday 10:30-4pm or 5-9pm, we’ll need some flexibility for other shifts too. Times can vary depending on the season.

🚨🐾🚨 Qualifications 🚨🐾🚨

🐕Prior experience with animal care or other related fields is preferred but not required.

🐶Ability to approach/accomplish tasks with thoroughness & accuracy is a must.

🐕Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner. Be able to handle a 3 pound dog up to 150 pound dog. Must also be okay handling cats and cleaning cat rooms.

🐶Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently

🐕 Must be okay with dogs&cats jumping/scratching you from excitement of being here.

This is Gracie, she’s currently a long time resident of N.O. Paws Left Behind Rescue - Oroville, WA. She is such a doll!! Loves to play, loves people, best with male dogs I’ve been told, loves to go for walks, loves to swim. Anyone looking for a black lab she is your girl!! She’s been waiting a long time for a family.. Someone make her dreams come true!!

So happy to have doggy daycare back in Oliver 🥰 if you’re looking for someone to care for your dogs while away or like me you have a pup who needs to blow off some extra steam mid week Little Green Farm Pet Hotel is amazing. My pointer who has endless energy is dragging her feet this evening, a rarity with this girl!

🎄🐶🎄Holiday hours/ accepting new clients/ holiday closure/ last minute openings

Unlike last year Love Buzz Dog Spa will be closing its doors for 2 weeks after Christmas from December 23 and reopening January 7th. As much as I love all your pooches I am in need of a mini vacation and some family time. To accommodate my clients I will be open for extended hours in December Mon-Fri 745-6. Spots do fill up fast tho so if you are in need of a Christmas groom please do not procrastinate on booking.

Due to some of my regular clients leaving town early for the winter season I have a couple of spots that have opened up the next few weeks. If you’re in need of a last min groom please feel free to contact me!

Update for all my non okanagan friends who are worried about Osooyoos
No official news really on how controlled the fire is but the wind changed directions last night and pushed the fire back on itself
No homes reported to have any damnage and everyone was evacuated safely
No visible flames from town this morning and the smoke has been pushed out
We are suppose to have low winds today unlike yesterday so hopefully it will considered contained
We all have a bag packed just in case but at this point everyone is safe and so is our town
I’ve never seen a fire move so fast, if you blinked or turned away for a brief second it seemed as tho the fire would double in size. Thank you for all the first responders who worked tirelessly through the night to save everyone’s homes ❤️❤️❤️

From 12-4pm on May 21st we will have a Photo Booth sponsored by Bosley's by Pet Valu, a Costume Contest sponsored by Love Buzz Dog Spa, and a Talent Show sponsored by Toes & Tails Wellness, along with food & drink specials, and more!

At 1:30pm, Love Buzz Dog Spa will be presenting the DogFest 2023 Costume Contest! Show off your dogs funky fashion sense or fancy party clothes in an adorable parade. All breeds are welcome as long as they are comfortable in their outfits. Maximum 15 entrants.

At 3:00pm, Toes & Tails Wellness will be presenting the DogFest 2023 Talent Show! Come show off all your dogs incredible tricks, fancy footwork, or stunning vocals. All talents and breeds will be accepted as long as all ticks or attire are humane and safe for your dog. Talents are to be no longer than 4 minutes. Winners receive a fun prize pack with goodies for both dogs and humans. Maximum 15 entrants.

Dogs registered for both events will automatically be entered in to win the grand prize of "Best in Show".

Almost one full year around the sun since we opened our doors at Love Buzz Dog Spa. In some ways it has flown by and in others i feel like I’ve been apart of this community forever with everyone’s kindness and welcoming nature towards me and my company.
I would like to take a moment and thank all my new clients that have joined me in this last year who stretch from Summerland all the way to Keremeos and everywhere in between. I would also like to put a special thank you to the other groomers who have been so kind in sharing their excess of clients with me and equipment when mine kicked the bucket(Mutts on Main❤️kristy Roby)
I’m so grateful to the people of the South Okanagan and feel blessed since moving here, making it home to not only my business but to myself and fur family.

I know who lives in our small wonderful town changes every season so I thought I would take a minute to reintroduce myself as a newer business in the community!
My name is Rachel and I’m the owner operator of Love Buzz Dog Spa, a local grooming shop located in the heart or Oliver, BC. Spring has sprung and so has shedding season! Double coated dogs mean just that! They have two layers of fur: a harsh top coat and a soft undercoat. Having these two coats help them to properly regulated their body temperatures, but can only do so when the dead undercoat is removed. Shaving your double coated dogs in our hot summer climate actually reduces your dogs ability to self regulate and can cause other issues such as coat funk and alopecia.
