Nestled within the quiet and serene Cariboo landscape, known for its lengthy shoreline and wildlife, The Butcher’s Companion produces meat treats in a federally inspected, HACCP approved, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 Certified facility. The Butcher’s Companion facility is designed to be carbon neutral. A sunlight heat collection system pre-heats the smokehouses, heat from cooling units and

compressors regenerates to produce hot water, and recycled wood waste from pine beetles creates hot water and steam.

Meet Mr. Woof!! 🦴🐕‍🦺 He’s a 9-year-old Alaskan Malamute with a big personality and an even bigger love for adventure. He's all about hiking, swimming, and paddle boarding, usually alongside his tight-knit crew of dog friends. Even though he's a big guy, he's a surprisingly picky eater—The Butcher’s Companion is his high-value treat! Known for his signature howls, Mr. Woof announces himself every morning, during Zoom calls, and whenever he walks into a store. He lights up every room, adores people (especially kids), and fits right in anywhere, from farm hangouts with horses to soaking up the attention in bustling Toronto.

Meet Bruce!! 🦴🐕‍🦺 Bruce is a three-year-old Mastiff Cross who’s all about spreading joy with his quirky personality. You can always find him sitting at the table joining in on games, or chilling in a camp chair by the fire, making sure he's part of the crew. He's pretty sharp too, fluent in both English and German commands!

Bruce loves hanging out with the kids, but when it comes to cats, well, let's just say he's not their biggest fan – those little furballs always keep you guessing, don’t they? But hey, he's an awesome foster brother to other dogs, helping them find their forever homes!

Meet Hex!! 🦴🐕‍🦺 Hex is a one-year-old Belgian Malinois pup who loves eating her fruits & veggies and snuggling upside down, even letting her mom cut her nails upside down!

Only a few days after being brought home, Hex broke her toe and had to wear a full leg cast for multiple weeks, but that just means Hex got super well-seasoned in all the fun indoor socialization activities!

If you meet Hex, you can bet your bottom dollar she’ll be whining and crying in excitement with her favourite toy elephant in her mouth! But, if you want her to find any hidden treats, especially in the snow, you’ll have to show her the way to them 🦴
