Precisely why I love working with horses. They challenge you to leave everything at the barn door.

Horses know.

From the second you step into the stall, they know what kind of day you’ve had.

They can sense your stress.
They can sense your exhaustion.
They can feel your sense of urgency.
They can sense your tension.

But, they can also sense your relaxation.
They can sense your enthusiasm.
They can sense your presence.
They can sense your joy.
They can sense things about you that you might not even be aware of yourself.

A horse’s intuition is a gift.
It is a gift that holds you accountable.
It challenges you to show up as the best version of yourself.

When you give your horse your best self, you help them give their best to you.

Please pick out your horses feet regularly! Not only to remove debris and reduce anaerobic bacteria like thrush. But also to check for things such as these!

Composite shoes are growing in popularity for a variety of reasons. They provide full coverage and support for horses recovering from laminitis or thin soles, allowing optimum frog action (blood-flow) while still protecting the foot, the concussion is much reduced then that of a steel shoe, and they also give us the ability to protect the foot when there is simply no hoof wall to nail to.
Continuing our education is so important. In order to meet the needs of every horse we must keep learning, as every hoof and horse is different!

Some feet just need a little support. Being able to build handmade shoes when needed can be so beneficial to the horse. Wether they are base narrow and crushing a heel, need lateral support, or are suffering from heel pain, we have so many more options then just pulling one out of the box!

Offering hot/cold/composite shoeing and corrective care. Therapeutic and radiograph guided/ prescription work when needed, and trims for the barefoot horse!

Comfortable working on performance horses needing specialty shoeing such as sliders & studs. As well as horses with ailments, including: laminitis/founder/navicular syndrome/suspensory tears/ white-line disease.

I am lucky to have a career that I am very passionate about and strive to do what's best for your horse; by listening to your input (because you know them best), assessing soundness and conformation, as well as working with your Veterinarian when necessary.
