3 1/2 hrs...1 1/2 to brush and pre-clip some off for easier bathing, the other 1 1/2 to dry and round two for clipping, I'm feeling pooped already today..lol
Titan is an absolute beautiful fella with long hair but he likes the shorter cut it seems...so did his momma human ❤️

Thought I'd better say something about this.
I do nail clipping in the mornings before I start grooming...8:45 is the time I book dogs/cats in for this.
The other timeslot (which varies)is at the end of the day when I'm finished grooming.
I don't take walk ins at any old time because it's too disruptive.
I say this because I really try to get folks acomadated for nail trims due to the frequency pets need it done...that is why I also charge so little for it.
When people show up late in the morning, right away I'm put into a pressure situation which can transfer to the pet and in the afternoons when I wait for someone to show up and they don't (with no call to let me know), well it's annoying.
PLEASE respect my time and also to set your pet and myself up for success while inter-acting.
This morning I was told I was very rude when I turned a client away due to lateness and my grooming had already started. I explained why and apologized although no apology was given to me for them being late...my bad I guess
It's been a few weeks of too much laying around healing for my liking and I'm ready to get back to work!
I'm not 100% but I would say I'm pretty close :)...tbtG
I'm only going to groom smaller dogs and cats for the next couple of weeks until I see how it goes because I definitely need to strengthen my core muscles.

Well now, it's amazing how quickly things can change!
This past sunday(7th) I got myself hurt pretty badly playing around with my horse and now have to take time off work for awhile to heal.
Broken ribs and severe bruising has put me out of commission unfortunately.
I have all my calls forwarded so I can still make appointments and hopefully start grooming again by the beginning of Feb, hopefully sooner.

I want to let everyone know that I'm doing a fund raiser for a young man (19 yrs old)in the Amish community who is battling cancer.
This is a heavy burden to carry with any family having to go through this but with them it's made heavier because of no coverage for any aspect of the fight.
Yes, their community comes together to support the family but the costs are extremely high for medical treatments, medications and trips to the hospital etc.
I thought about how I (we) could help this family and decided that all funds from nail trimmings and any tips that are given to me for grooming for the next while (I originally thought for a month but I think I will go longer than that, 3 months would be better)will be donated to help them.
I will have a donation container on my counter and will keep folks posted as to how much we raise.
Please, please, please share this with everyone.
As for tips, if you do E-transfers, please do not include the tip in it. If you could kindly have the tip in cash to put in the donation box it would be greatly appreciated...I will not be doing bank withdrawals for e transfer tips...
This will start in Sept and run through to the end of Nov.
Once again, please share this and talk to friends/family about it so we can raise as much as possible.

Really pleased about how my revamped wood stove area is coming along..the pressed in oak leaves turned out nice...just some caulking to do after clean up and then moving on to painting the floor and finally return of wood stove to it's spot😊
Thanks to Ed Couperus for all his talented work...poor guy looked after Oakley and Maggie while I was away on a fly in fishing trip...Maggie: really good...Oakley: well let's just say Oakley was Oakley 😏...all survived though but I don't think I would ask Ed to look after him again any time soon 😁
