As the sun sets and the biggest moon of the year rises, the big pack of coyotes across from the farm are greeting Mr.Moon with chants of excitement.

Broody Hen
Off to the other chicken tractor. This is what we call a Broody Hen. She kicks all the other hens off so she can sit on all the eggs to hatch them. Little does she know that we don’t have a rooster to make those eggs hatch…
We always know when we have a broody hen because you will walk out and it’ll look like a chicken was attacked with feathers everywhere! In reality, they pluck their feathers out themselves to have direct contact with the eggs to keep them warm. You then go check the nesting boxes and find a Raptor from another world. 🐦🔥

Clooney decided that he’s making his own entertainment today. He nabbed the cones from under the fence in the riding ring.
Riding footing couldn’t come soon enough for his brain!
With the extreme amount of drifting, doing field work with the tractor is really difficult. We have had to abandon one of the hay wagons we were doing bush work with. The only thing is… we had a bunch of chains on the wagon that had to come in.
Solution: Downgrade from 64 horse power to 1 horse power. Hank thoroughly enjoys being a ranch pony and saved us from having to hand walk all the heavy chains all the way back from the lower field.
This is an example of how you sometimes need to get a bit creative to get the job done.
