We received a lovely message from one of our clients today! this one’s for you:

“I had meant to send this sooner but things have been so hectic! We just wanted to let you know how wonderful it was to have Sarah take care of Wilbur on our wedding day (as well as for a second wedding-related event). She was so attentive to his needs and really took all the stress and worry off our shoulders - it was the first time we would be leaving our pandemic puppy with anyone! We loved that she sent us pics and updates, and she even taught him a couple new tricks! The cherry on the sundae though was the thoughtful gift she left for us. A framed photo of Wilbur wearing a customized bandana with our wedding date stating “my humans are getting married”! We will definitely be recommending Above and Beyond Pet Care to our friends and we look forward to having Sarah take care of Wilbur again.

Good(ish) news came in for Mr.Henry today!

It looks like he’s a good candidate for surgery :) which means the CT scan doesn’t show anything invasive.

Here’s hoping the surgery is a success and they can take the mass that’s currently in front of his heart out! ❤️

I truly feel like it’s just not his time. Henry deserves many more years and I’ll do whatever it takes to give him those.

Introducing the newest petsitter on the A&B team! Meet Jenna!

Jenna provides boarding in her cozy home downtown and has no resident dogs! This is great for dogs who are best as the only dog in a house! We are very excited to have Jenna join our team!

“Hello! My name is Jenna Kentel, I am a M.Sc. of Biology student studying Species at Risk turtles in Ontario and I am thrilled to be joining the A&B pet care team in Ottawa! Nothing makes me happier than being surrounded by dogs, cats or any other wildlife I find while exploring outside. I have a variety of experience working with animals, including boarding dogs while living in New Zealand. I currently spend my workdays in a cozy home office, and I manage my day so that I can take frequent breaks by going for walks, runs, and hikes. Like your furry friend, I love the outdoors and need my walks too! I look forward to puppy kisses, long walks, and being a part of a great team that cares for your fur babies while you are away.”
