Navan Animal Rescue Corporation (NARC)

Navan Animal Rescue Corporation (NARC) Recuing, training and re-habilitating dogs taken from death row. Training and rehabilitating rescue dogs, NARC specializes in dogs that are on death row!

Spay/neuter, Rabies, DA2PP... We raise funds by selling donations of any kind through Poshmark - register through NARC to receive $15 here: https://posh.mk/8kFhsdttVIb. We ensure they are properly vetted, spayed/neutered and re-habilitate them to then find them a permanent home. Background

Founded in 2007 by hobby farmer Michèlle Mayer, Navan Animal Rescue Corporation will hopefully emerge as t

he nation’s premier rescue organization, helping a range of animals across Ontario. NARC recognizes the link between the people’s desires to help and build our quality of life together; we set out to protect defenseless animals against cruelty, starvation and neglect. We understand that it will take millions of informed, motivated people to do the job. NARC’s primary focus remains education. NARC’s website, blog and hands-on work programs will provide information and inspiration, linking children and families back to nature and showing them how to protect animals/pets. NARC will provide the tools to help educate concerned citizens and pet owners. NARC will educate the public about cruelty problems and work with them to find effective, equitable solutions. NARC will reach out to people across Ontario, to share information and ideas on how we can all work for a brighter tomorrow for all the pets in Ontario and FOR PEOPLE. History

NARC Informational Highlights

Created in 2007, a private, non-profit charitable organization who wants to make a difference in the world. NARC will work on some amazing projects and continue to inspire others to become involved in helping to protect pets across Ontario. Some examples of NARC’s hard work include:

Taking in un-wanted or neglected pets,
Rehabilitating and re-programming them (working with their issues),
Training the pets making them ready for their new adoptive families,
Rescuing as many dogs from death row and giving them a second chance at life. NARC is already well known for its sensitive side, ensuring the pets we take in live in an “as close to a home environment” or with us in our homes – preparing them for a better tomorrow. Mission Statement

Navan Animal Rescue Corporation’s (NARC) mission is to educate, inspire, and assist individuals and organizations of diverse cultures in treating animals with respect in order to achieve a peaceful, equitable and sustainable future with our companions/pets. Education, Inspiration and Assistance. These are the means through which NARC works toward its goal of a healthy world where people can live in harmony with their animals. NARC’s role is to bring people together in support of this goal and to give them the knowledge, the tools and the help they need to build a better future for our companions/pets. NARC was recently created in 2007, to use education and cooperation as a catalyst for uniting various groups and their members (from SPCA’s, Humane Societies and Veterinarians to a dog owner and pet stores) behind their common love of animals, directing their shared enthusiasm to the cause of protecting them. The key to that success remains the diversity of the many groups and individuals who come together, with the help of NARC to safeguard animals that are abused, neglected or starving. NARC stays connected to these grassroots through its board of Directors and network of independent volunteers. Together they work with other like-minded individuals and groups to build and empower the safety of all animals in the Ottawa, Quebec and surrounding areas needed to accomplish real change.

After a few visits at the veterinary, blood work, IV fluids & Lyme/Heartworm tests, they still do not know what Aggie has but some type of infection. It is NOT Lyme as we were told before, test is negative. We are waiting for him to be released by our veterinary - we need prayers so this little one makes it!! Vet said he is very sick and only time will tell. Please if you can help financially towards our veterinary invoices, either by e-transfer to [email protected] or through PayPal [email protected]

Few items needed to replace what was lost in the garage fire until the insurance approves to replace damaged items…. All our grooming equipment, tables, grooming blow dryers were set up in the garage so…. We need grooming equipment to be able to shave, brush the new dogs coming in. OR if a groomer is interested in volunteering some time, we have a few doggies needing cuts (Yorkie, Shih-Poo & Terrier). Thank you all for your kindness, support and always opening your hearts for rescued canines - either being here at NARC or with others in need! Let’s make a difference in the world together!!

Here is a note from Weber’s new family:

Hello
I’m writing you to give you news of Wonder formally know by Weber.
This Chunky Monkey is an adorable little guy! At first he was shy, but day by day he is opening to us and the only thing I can say is that day by day we are loving him more! He is just wonderful! Funny and the sweetest boy ever!
One thing I want to ask is if you can try to give me more details about how he was found or about his past… sadly I have the feeling that his vocal cords were removed… he is too silent and I heard one time a noice that give me that impression… like he wanted to bark but couldn’t.
He will have a vet appointment next month to verify and if this is the case we will give him the best care possible.
Here are some photos of our Wonder Chunky Monkey!

Our phone line is down after a fire today in my garage…not to worry, I got the rescues out of the house and myself to safety while calling 911. Insurance is sending a crew on Monday but until then nothing is working, no hydro, no internet, etc.. phone calls will not be responded to but e-mails are fine with cell data. The front is a mess and stinky with the debris that was pulled out in hopes they get that cleaned out first thing Monday morning? We ask that all donation drop offs or client visits are halted for the next week until we get settled and the smoke stench out! Thank you!

We all can’t express how thankful we are for your support with NARC and Cuba! You have helped us bring over 2,000 pounds of your donated items to Cuba in the last year! Made so many happy Cubans with towels, knives, glasses, bedding, plastic containers, coffee mugs, bicycles… to name a few! So many items recycled and donated to help others! Incredible!!! We bought groceries while in Cuba through supermarket24 with deliveries to different homes, all of this with your help! We will take any donations for Cuba if not sold to raise funds for NARC, let’s spread the wealth together! A big thank you from all of us!
