Spay/neuter, Rabies, DA2PP... We raise funds by selling donations of any kind through Poshmark - register through NARC to receive $15 here: https://posh.mk/8kFhsdttVIb. We ensure they are properly vetted, spayed/neutered and re-habilitate them to then find them a permanent home. Background
Founded in 2007 by hobby farmer Michèlle Mayer, Navan Animal Rescue Corporation will hopefully emerge as t
he nation’s premier rescue organization, helping a range of animals across Ontario. NARC recognizes the link between the people’s desires to help and build our quality of life together; we set out to protect defenseless animals against cruelty, starvation and neglect. We understand that it will take millions of informed, motivated people to do the job. NARC’s primary focus remains education. NARC’s website, blog and hands-on work programs will provide information and inspiration, linking children and families back to nature and showing them how to protect animals/pets. NARC will provide the tools to help educate concerned citizens and pet owners. NARC will educate the public about cruelty problems and work with them to find effective, equitable solutions. NARC will reach out to people across Ontario, to share information and ideas on how we can all work for a brighter tomorrow for all the pets in Ontario and FOR PEOPLE. History
NARC Informational Highlights
Created in 2007, a private, non-profit charitable organization who wants to make a difference in the world. NARC will work on some amazing projects and continue to inspire others to become involved in helping to protect pets across Ontario. Some examples of NARC’s hard work include:
Taking in un-wanted or neglected pets,
Rehabilitating and re-programming them (working with their issues),
Training the pets making them ready for their new adoptive families,
Rescuing as many dogs from death row and giving them a second chance at life. NARC is already well known for its sensitive side, ensuring the pets we take in live in an “as close to a home environment” or with us in our homes – preparing them for a better tomorrow. Mission Statement
Navan Animal Rescue Corporation’s (NARC) mission is to educate, inspire, and assist individuals and organizations of diverse cultures in treating animals with respect in order to achieve a peaceful, equitable and sustainable future with our companions/pets. Education, Inspiration and Assistance. These are the means through which NARC works toward its goal of a healthy world where people can live in harmony with their animals. NARC’s role is to bring people together in support of this goal and to give them the knowledge, the tools and the help they need to build a better future for our companions/pets. NARC was recently created in 2007, to use education and cooperation as a catalyst for uniting various groups and their members (from SPCA’s, Humane Societies and Veterinarians to a dog owner and pet stores) behind their common love of animals, directing their shared enthusiasm to the cause of protecting them. The key to that success remains the diversity of the many groups and individuals who come together, with the help of NARC to safeguard animals that are abused, neglected or starving. NARC stays connected to these grassroots through its board of Directors and network of independent volunteers. Together they work with other like-minded individuals and groups to build and empower the safety of all animals in the Ottawa, Quebec and surrounding areas needed to accomplish real change.
