Dr. Amy Verny was again exceptional in her care of my pups. Lux, being accustomed to her adjustments, displayed his usual enthusiasm upon seeing Dr. Amy. This was Doc's first experience, and although initially hesitant, he adapted remarkably well. It appears that the liver treats were a highlight for him. Presently, both pups are fast asleep, which is a typical outcome following an adjustment.

Are you familiar with animal chiropractic care? I have personal experience with it and can attest to its numerous benefits for my canine companions, as well as for some client dogs. Animal chiropractic care (ACC) is an excellent approach for maintaining your pet's overall health. The practitioners who perform the general manipulation are veterinarians and/or highly trained, licensed individuals. My preferred practitioner for my current two dogs, as well as my late giant breed dog, is DVM Amy Verny. Additionally, DR Seeley at the Pembroke Animal Hospital is another option. We are fortunate in the Pembroke area to have several choices available. Well the new year is already in full swing and we at Paws are excited to be back and ready to go!!!

Going forward all communication for clients will be through the Paws page.
Please feel free to share the page and any postings.

2025 will be about more education for clients so please watch for those posts. There will be contests so some great prizes.
As always we support some great companies and I will post them along the way.

We will be rebuilding. So please I ask for patience and understanding if there is a delay in response time.

Lux and Doc got there updated vaccines at the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre clinic They got some great photos of a lot of the different pups. Take a good at there write up. We are always happy to support a great cause.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Thank you to all my clients,friends,family, mentors and advisors over the last year. I appreciate every one of you for placing your trust in me. 2024 was a crazy year but 2025 we can only grow and become better, offer more and make new connections.

Due to our beautiful home burning down yesterday I will be limiting my time for the next while to the local area (Pembroke,Petawawa, Chapeau, Waltham) until things are settled.

I am still offering training service for obedience and behavior modification. Also hope to hold some nail trim days again soon (Mid Jan). This work has been my focus through many difficult times in the past and that still very much holds true.

If you require other training type service please contact so I can direct you to other amazing trainers!

I was hoping I would not have to make a post like this. I have tried to be fair and allow 50% upfront and paid for individual sessions.

***UNFORTUNATELY do to non payment from individual sessions all training will be paid IN FULL at booking. ***

I was also kind enough to lend out some equipment of my own and have not received that back (40$ collar) there will be no more lending of equipment.

Thank you to all those who have and do to be amazing clients. I appreciate you all.

Meet bruiser he is just a little guy who is visiting for 10 days, Now how do we introduce Doc 105lbs to Bruiser (8lbs safely. We allow Bruiser to be in his kennel and dog to explore what he is while still maintaining recall and manners. This is a short clip from the longer video. To say I was happy with Doc would be an understatement. This is the first little dog he has met so close and was very respectful when Bruiser had enough. Always safety first!

Integrating a new dog into your family involves a three-phase process. The initial three days enable decompression and slight relaxation. Within three weeks, trust begins to develop, and by three months, the dog feels at home. My experience with Doc, who joined me three months ago on August 9, exemplifies this.
Having come from a good home, he still required adjustment. You may have wondered why we weren't seen out much; this was due to Doc's travel anxiety, car sickness, and my own emotional readiness for training. My priority was helping Doc adjust to our home, rules, and dynamics. Gradually introducing freedoms, like house and yard access, was key. Now, kenneling only occurs when I leave, ensuring safety. Our progress, though slow, is heartwarming, as seen in Doc's relaxed demeanor, showcasing his belly. This underscores the effectiveness of patient training. 1 hours session to work on management and owner guidance.
- [ ] Tool teaching ( muzzle, prong, ecollar, slip lead) 1 hour $75.

Contract, 50% payment, and liability waiver will be in place prior to first session.
