Eloise is almost ready to move to a single critter nation! 🥰 She makes motherhood look easy!

We let mamas give birth in small cages (maternity cages), to encourage proper care of babies and lessen the scattering of them. Although it's rare that their instincts don't kick in, we always play it on the safe side! It also allows us to keep a closer eye on mama and babies while birthing incase or any complications.

We usually leave them be, other than a few checks and photos. But as soon as they turn two weeks and their eyes open, the babies are on the move! 😂 They start really moving as soon as their eyes open and it always feels like time goes by so quickly after this happens.

Within a week they're trying mamas food, learning about the water bottles, climbing, popcorning and just being little rays of light. ✨

I am so excited to debut these guys and their names shortly after the two week mark! They are all absolutely stunning. We have some cow babies, some beautiful downunder babies and even a couple self! 💚

I promised y'all a video, and here it is. I've been holding onto it for so long now. 😂 I'll have to do a complete room tour and cage tour at some point, but moving, washing and setting all these cages was a chore and a half. Especially for a chronically ill person. 💀

But nonetheless...

*Please note this video was taken a few weeks ago, after everything was moved upstairs and yes, their cages are MUCH more filled now and every cage in use has two water bottles. ☺️

Aztec and Eloise's babies are officially a week old. ☺️

I am beyond thrilled with this litter. It's a strong start to establishing a DWS line. I'm bummed there's only one DWS girl, BUT she is a stunner! I cannot wait to see the temperaments of these babies. That will be the true test of who is held back for breeding purposes.

I already see some very pretty downunder bellies too!

I can't wait until they are 2 weeks and I can do individual photos and names! 😁

✨ COMING SOON ✨

We have moved the rattery UPSTAIRS!

When we first moved into this house a year ago, we put the rats in the basement. It was big, had room for expanding, a private sink, etc.

It was perfect. But too cold and damp and ZERO sunlight. It made me not want to work down there. It made me want to avoid something I love doing.

So we switched things up and moved all 5 double critter nations up two floors. 😮‍💨💀

But I am proud and very happy to say that everyone is settled, everything is organized and I am beyond happy with how bright and airy it feels.

The video will be coming this week, but for now, how cute is the door?! 😍 The sign was made by my incredibly talented father and painted by my equally talented mother! Having my parents support and love what I do feels incredible. ☺️

Eloise gave us 14 beautiful, pink beans last night. 🤍

It looks like there are 6 girls and 8 boys! This pairing was a DWS/DU pairing, so the likelihood that they will be available to the public is slim.

We will heavily temperament test as babies age and update everyone with how the line is progressing. ☺️

🍀 ANNOUNCEMENT 🍀

Dragon and his son Cadbury are absolute best friends. 🤍 We will soon be moving Dragons other two sons Enoki and Morel over to join the family. 😊

🍀 We are condensing cages to make a bit more room for some project lines!

We will be working on Harley and DWS very soon! They need a bit of work in some problem areas before they meet my personal standard of being available to the public, but we will definitely still keep everyone updated with our progress and IF babies meet the standard, most will be held back for expanding the lien, but some MAY be available to the public for PET homes ONLY.🤞

We will still have our OG line running and available to the public for adoption! The Bugs litter seemed to hit a home run across the board, just like the Transformers litter, which is where the sire of the Bugs litter is from. Our precious Bumblebee. 💚

🍀 We have moved our rattery! When we originally moved into the house, we put the rattery in the basement. It has the most storage and room for expansion. But it is damp, unfinished and I was completely unmotivated to work in a dark basement with no natural light. So we moved it upstairs (2 floors) to one of our extra bedrooms.

It is AMAZING. I couldn't be happier. It is bright and airy, I am in there every single day, multiple times a day. Sometimes I'll just go read in there while some of the rats free roam (which was not possible downstairs). I cannot wait to post a video. It should be coming this week! 😊

🍀 We are getting ready to health test! We have ordered and received all of our health testing materials and we are preparing to health test for zoonotic diseases. We will update everyone when this is happening!

With everything that's happened in the last little bit, I've definitely let the social media posting slide and making sure I stay on-top of adoption applications as well. Maturity is exactly what this boy needed. He is STUNNING. 😍

We are hoping he will be a daddy soon. 🤞 He just bred two of our other snowflake girls, Kohlrobi and Apricot!

I love working with genetics. 😌

Knowing these two are full brothers, from the same litter, just blows my mind.

I know the mechanics behind why they look the way they do, but it's still so funny to me that a black marten boy with dragon eye, and a flashy siamese boy are full brothers. 😂

These two are our holdback males from the Mushroom litter, and if you've been with us for a while, you've definitely seen them posted before! 🥰

Flea is our holdback male from the Bugs litter! He is currently molting and looks super unique! 💚

He is mink in colour, and his coat is standard. He is silvermane and downunder. I am so proud of this boy. He is absolutely stunning and his temperament is on point! 👌
