Dr. Fulop has been providing veterinary services to families of the GTA, Scarborough West Hill and the Durham Region, including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa since 1999. Wow what a beautiful day! ☀️ With this warmer weather and even cooler temperatures comes the concern of…. you guessed it. TICKS. ICK!! I pulled this one off my Dani Girl Wednesday evening. She was tiny and very active! Thank goodness I keep Dani Girl on prevention 12 months of the year. This tick may have attached to her but it would have been killed. I am not kidding when I say this freaked me out because Dani Girl lays everywhere including my bed. If I would not have turned on the lights to brush her teeth before bed I would not have found this tick and it could have found me! Talk to you veterinarian about prevention all year round and also do your tick checks. Not just on your pet but on yourself too!
