And just like that our 2024 Trials are done. This past weekend blessed us with some summer-like weather and some fantastic courses by Billie McLean and Lona O’Reilly. It is so much fun to see the teams get out there and have a good time working together playing the Agility game we love. Well done!
Thank you to everyone who attended and volunteered this year. It’s been said before, but trials don’t run without the people who help in the ring and build the courses!
Thank you to all the judges - Robin Robbs, Jordan Jarvis-O’Connor, Lane White, Lynda Yielding, Bryce Longtin, Lona O’Reilly and Billie McLean. Without new and challenging courses we could not compete with our canine teammates.
Thank you to Morgan Jarvis and K9 Central for the use of their beautiful facility.
Huge thank you to Sue Godbehere and Amanda Wood for being my right hands - could not do it without them.
The Best Part! All of you raised $798.00 for the Oak Ridges Hospice which will be donated in Sharon’s name. Thank You - Sharon is smiling down on us.

Looking forward to doing it all over again in 2025!!

We did it! Another trial in the books. The weather tried to deter us however our small but mighty group pulled together and got it done. Thank you to everyone - all pitched in and made the trial run smoothly and on time.
Congratulations to all who titled. Congrats to those who Q’d, and to all those good things you can find in the other runs. I had a great 2 days watching you have fun with your dogs - that’s the aim of the game!
Thank you to our judges Lynda Yielding and Bryce Longtin - the courses were so nice and so well nested!

Another trial in the books. Thank you to all who attended and helped out - could not have so much fun without you! Congrats to all for your successes - titles, goals met, improvements. These things are all part of the amazing journey we get to share with our dogs!

Anyone out there know of someone with a reasonably priced food truck that might like to come in to the trial on Saturday? It was a nice option when the rescue came in and sold burgers etc. May be too late for Saturday but perhaps they could be booked for August and September.

Back by popular demand! It's been a few years since we've offered this workshop which will help demystify these two agility games.

During this workshop we'll first explain and simplify the AAC (Agility Association of Canada) rules. We'll discuss potential strategies and "emergency protocols" for those times when it doesn't go exactly as planned. You'll learn how to be efficient in your planning while also being creative.

After all the theory stuff, you and your dog will have a chance to run both a Snooker and Gamblers course and practice what you've learned.

Our June trial is a wrap! What a fun weekend despite the weather gods frowning on us! A huge thankyou to our head judge Robin Robbs who not only gave the master dogs some fun, challenging courses, but also spent the rest of her time mentoring Jordan as she tried her hand at judging. Jordan put out good courses and was keen to absorb what she could from her mentor! Yes, we ran late, but if we don’t get up and coming new judges the sport will suffer.
Thankyou to all the participants who ran their dogs and worked so hard as volunteers to keep the trial moving - can’t do it without you. Thankyou to my invaluable cohorts in crime Sue and Amanda - they are the cogs that keep the K9 Klubhouse wheel moving.
Congratulations to all who had successes, whether it was a title (yes - the order is going in this week for the ribbons) or a Q or a course goal met!
Loved watching such a positive group of people have fun with their dogs. Looking forward to the July 19-20 trial where we can do it all over again.

Thankyou to all who attended our trials this year and also did a fantastic job volunteering - trials could not happen without you! Special thanks to Sue Godbehere Scorekeeper Extraordinaire and Amanda The Builder (better than Bob). Thankyou to Lynda Siewert and all the others that tirelessly (well maybe not this weekend) built the courses - you keep things running smoothly. We got to try and learn from fantastic courses from Sharon Ransom, Sheilah Johnson, Christine Mandy, Billie McLean and Lona O’Reilly. Many titles, many Q’s and lots of things for the “training list”. I got to see so many people having fun with their dogs and that always makes my day! Looking forward to doing it all again next year!
