Effective November 18, 2024, distribution of The Complete K9 products will be managed by and their delivery partner . This exciting collaboration will give you access to a retail location in Red Deer and to enhanced product selections.

What stays the same?
Family Meats will continue to manufacture The Complete K9 recipes and products you depend on. Product offerings and recipes will remain the same.

Continue to order through The Complete K9 website www.thecompletek9.ca for delivery or purchase through one of The Complete K9’s current distributors.

Your delivery schedule will remain the same for the immediate future.

Hauke Thierfelder and Melissa Wierenga, are familiar names you know from Family Meats and The Complete K9. They are heading up the Four Roots Pet Products operation and retail location and will be working to make this transition smooth for you.

What changes?
In person sales of The Complete K9 will no longer be available at Family Meats. In store pick up will now be at Four Roots Pet Products located at #3, 4812 - 78 Street Red Deer, Alberta. It’s an exciting new retail space and pet food manufacturer opening December 16, 2024.

Grand Dog Essentials will be delivering all online orders of The Complete K9. As we work through the transition, expect to see either one of the Grand Dog Essentials or The Complete K9 refrigerated vans delivering your online orders, directly to your door.

Grand Dog Essentials is a family run business with years of expertise in pet product distribution; you can count on your products arriving as expected by their amazing team.

⭐DIY Bone Broth⭐ We love the added benefits of bone broth but did you know that it is so easy to make at home?! Save money and use three simple ingredients, that if you are a raw feeder, you likely already have in your home! WHY? -Collagen rich: Improve mobility and skin health -Nutrient rich: essential vitamins/minerals, including calcium and phosphorus -Adds moisture and flavor (for picky eaters) -Soothes digestive upsets HOW? 2-3lb Knuckle Bone 0.5-1lb Feet or Wings (Chicken or Duck work great!) 2-3 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar Optional: Carrots and celery Add bones, veg (if using), and vinegar to an instant pot. Fill with water to the max line. Pressure cook for 3-4 hours. Bones should be breaking down. If not, add back for another hour. Strain and discard the bones and veg. Let cool. Skim cooled fat from the surface. You are looking for a jelly consistency when cooled. Divide into ice cube trays for daily portions. Don’t have an instant pot? Follow the above recipe but use a pot on your stovetop and simmer on low for 24 hours. Duck Feet, Chicken Feet, Chicken Wings, and Knuckle Bones are all available on our website.
