⭐DIY Bone Broth⭐
We love the added benefits of bone broth but did you know that it is so easy to make at home?! Save money and use three simple ingredients, that if you are a raw feeder, you likely already have in your home!
WHY?
-Collagen rich: Improve mobility and skin health
-Nutrient rich: essential vitamins/minerals, including calcium and phosphorus
-Adds moisture and flavor (for picky eaters)
-Soothes digestive upsets
HOW?
2-3lb Knuckle Bone
0.5-1lb Feet or Wings (Chicken or Duck work great!)
2-3 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
Optional: Carrots and celery
Add bones, veg (if using), and vinegar to an instant pot. Fill with water to the max line. Pressure cook for 3-4 hours. Bones should be breaking down. If not, add back for another hour. Strain and discard the bones and veg. Let cool. Skim cooled fat from the surface.
You are looking for a jelly consistency when cooled.
Divide into ice cube trays for daily portions.
Don’t have an instant pot?
Follow the above recipe but use a pot on your stovetop and simmer on low for 24 hours.

As the heat continues into the weekend, consider using your slow feeders and enrichment toys with frozen food for a long, lasting indoor meal!
Thaw out daily portions, add meat to slow feeders/enrichment toys, add toppers (@smackpetfood ), freeze!
Keep in mind, any probiotics or powdered supplements should still be added when ready to feed, don’t freeze these!
