We’ve been blessed with amazing weather down here in Keremeos, BC! Animals are adjusting just fine! I can’t complain about having +10 weather in November 🙈

Platinum equine has made a big decision. Beginning of September platinum equine will be moving to Lloydminster AB. I want to thank all my clients around Dawson, it has been great working with all of you. I plan to travel back as much as possible. I will be posting dates on when I travel back so you can book in.

Equine kinesiology, or the study of horses’ muscular movement, reveals surprising similarities between horse and human muscle action as well as similar problems with muscular tension.

Kinesiology taping is a taping technique designed for use in both therapeutic (injury rehabilitation) and working athletic situations. Kinesiology tape has been successfully used on humans for over 25 years. It gained significant popularity during the 2012 Summer Olympics.

As seen on TV, many elite athletes use kinesiology tape such as Kerri Walsh, Venus Williams, Usain Bolt and Michael Johnson just to name a few.

During the last few years, the adhesive and taping techniques and patterns have been modified for use in the equine and
animal world.

Just as human athletes can wear the tape when training for their sport, horses can also be ridden with the tape on when they are working. The tape can also be applied when the horse is recovering from an injury

This is one of the taping I did yesterday. this mare has navicular, this digital flexor tendon support tapping just offers support to her digital flexor tendon as well as improving blood flow.

Today was a good day, got my tape in and even did some on Poise. Posie took a fall on the ice a few days back, while palpating we seen major sensitivity along her spine and into her hips. with this taping method it alleviates discomfort and offers support.

Welcome to My Page

My name is Heather Pringle. Some of you already know me and if you don't that's ok cause I'm here to introduce myself.

I have been around horses and riding since I was born. I have trained with some phenomenal trainers over the years. Steve Kutie (Bowie, Texas), Nikki and Mike Porter (Amherst, Nova Scotia), Lance Williamson (Chicago, Illinois),
Just to name a few. I was a member and competed in British Columbia High School Rodeo Association and a past member of Saddle Champs Horse 4-H Club (Dawson Creek, British Columbia).

I am embarking on a new adventure with Equine Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy. While I am completing my degree, I will be offering magna wave/P.E.M.F sessions (Pulse Electro Magnetic Field). P.E.M.F sessions help your horse perform at its best by reducing pain and inflammation, improving soft tissue recovery time (bruised or torn muscles, tendons and ligaments), reducing soreness and improving your horses circulation. P.E.M.F sessions do not cause any harm.

Recently, I completed Equine Kinesiology Taping and achieved my certification. Kinesiology Taping is a taping technique for use in both Therapeutic (injury rehabilitation) and working athletic situations. The benefits include helping to decrease edema and swelling, support for tendons, ligaments and joints, decrease muscle spasms, tensions and soreness to name a few.

As well, I will be offering 30 day refreshers, c**t starting, tune ups and ground manners.
