Same cat and same dog 6 months apart!
We are a small home based cattery.
Same cat and same dog 6 months apart!
Hoping everyone stays safe for the holidays! Khoti and Gale say see you next year! Brie and Monty were playing in the cat tree and were not wanting to sit still for a photo!
I have become so glad I kept Gale. And yes I kept his name as well. He is the most affectionate fella and so curious! He is very high pitched in his chirps and meows, it's adorable! He is so well handled you could do anything to him and he just purrs like crazy.
I crocheted a new blanket yesterday and Brie gave me the seal of approval tonight!
I am so glad I kept this little munchkin. Gale brings me so much joy. He has turned into the most affectionate and loving kitty and he's still only 6 months. He was the biggest in the litter and he's thickening out with a very full coat now. He loves to work nights with me at home!
Monty is a very hands on dad!
Did you know that unless cats have exposure to different textures of food when they are younger, they can be very resistant to change foods as they grow older? This becomes increasingly concerning if they need to be put on a prescription diet (special food). When raising the kittens in the cattery, I expose them to different textures and tastes of food, canned and dry. This helps to avoid problems in the future! It was canned food night tonight and it sure looks like everyone enjoyed it!
Built a Catio for the kitties! Monty, Dolli, Brie and Gale are enjoying it! I have decided that Gale will be staying at the cattery as a friend for Brie. He really helps her get out of her shell and they are constantly together and playing! Gale, welcome to the family! It's official!
Gale has been raised with dogs and it shows! He is very comfy around Khoti and I frequently see them lounging together! He still needs to find his forever home! Gale melts in your hands when you pick him up. He would be great in a home with other pets or kids!
Brie and Monty. Dad and daughter time!
Found all the kitties!
Find the 4 cats!
I can't believe this little cutie doesn't have a home yet! Fully vetted and neutered. Health tested! Very affectionate. Purrs like a machine! Super playful but loves to cuddle! Very expressive face!
Peeta goes to his new home today! I will miss him so much. He is so curious and outgoing. He loves to travel in the car and chill with Khoti. He is going to make an amazing addition to his new family!
The boys' last night together! Peeta, on the right, goes to his new home tomorrow! Gale,on the left, is still looking for his forever home!
Last minute change! Gale is up for adoption! His potential owners had to change their plans due to a family emergency so unfortunately Gale will not be joining their family.
Gale is like Monty 2.0 . He's super expressive in his face, very affectionate, curious and playful. He would make a wonderful addition! He gets along with other cats and dogs. He is not fearful by nature and loves to watch the wildlife outside around my house. His colors are coming in matching his mother exactly! He will be a stunner for sure! He still comes with all of his vaccines completed, microchipped and neutered. There is no vetting required for the first year of life for him in his new home! Let me know if you are interested!
Not everyone gets to see Monty's soft side! But deep down he's a major momma's boy!!
Peeta says the water dish needs refilling in the most polite and subtle way....
Katniss, now known as Jorja, has been in her new home for 48 hours. Her new mom came home to this wonderful greeting! Safe to say she is settling in very nicely!
This beautiful little girl went to her forever home today. She just turned 12 weeks old. Her name was Katniss, it is now Jorja. She is staying local so I can't wait to see updates! She was the one I bonded with the most and was planning to keep. But plans changed and she ended up finding a great home and is sure to get spoiled!! She will be brought back to me for her final boosters and for her spay in July. I will miss you Katniss! You were adventurous, gentle, cuddly, and sweet! I can't wait to see how you flourish!
P.s. I forget how hard it is to let them go! It is bittersweet!
It's to the point where I'm almost never surprised where I find the kittens. They are 12 weeks old today and get into everything! Gale (new name is Theo) decided the plant was a great spot to hunker down for a nap in!
You too Theo??
Really Katniss?
Change of plans! Katniss will not be staying at the cattery as originally planned. Instead she has been adopted! She has found her forever home! Can't wait to get updates on how she does! She's so outgoing and loving and so cuddly.
After much deliberation, I have decided that Katniss will be staying put! She is the last baby from Monty and Dolli. So far they have only produced chocolate and seal points, and I am primarily looking to breed for Blue Points. So Dolli will live out her retirement with Monty! She has already been spayed. Monty has a Blue Point girlfriend he will be visiting next year, so they should produce Blue points and Lilac points together. In the meantime I am excited to see Katniss grow and develop.
Monty our stud is very unhappy when I work nights! He has an entire bedtime routine and hates to deviate. So he just comes and sleeps in the office with me while I work.
Some adorable photos from the last few days.
Katniss is still looking for her forever home! This beautiful lady is outgoing, cuddly, playful and affectionate. She is very clean with her litter box habits and she eats very well a combination of royal canin kitten canned and dry. She would make a wonderful addition to any home! It would be wonderful for her to have a companion but she would do well alone as well I believe as long as her new owner gave her lots of love and playtime.
The name's Jensen...Montgomery Jensen ;)
Like father like son! Peeta usurped Monty of his favorite spot!

Katniss playing with her all time favorite toy while her brothers are apparently auditioning for WrestleMania?
Monty was watching the angry birds outside and if you watch closely you see him actually jump at the window lol the kittens are having a ball playing!
We are 4 weeks old now! We have started to use the litter box and we are starting to eat some canned kitten food! We are growing too fast!
