I can tell you so many reasons as to why I love being a coach, but I’ll just show you one.!! Bria’s confidence riding Bentley is so amazing. Tonight we had a little race between the pylons, and this girl kicked that pony up into a lope and was determined to beat me.!! It’s lessons and nights like these that make me love being in the arena.!!
This might be a long post, but it is so deserved.!!
I can’t thank Payton and Chris from Integrity Equine Therapy any more, these two truly are amazing at what they do and care about the horses and their needs.
It has honestly been such a pleasure building a relationship with these two incredible equine professionals. As a coach/trainer/competitor, my horses health and wellbeing are always at the top of my priority list, so having this relationship is very important to me, to ensure that our horses are always feeling their best.
For those who don’t know China, she is one truly special mare. She has NOT been an easy mare to train, and we have received a lot of feedback and advice from people that have great opinions but don’t understand the specifics of this mare.
When I first started China under saddle, she bucked, bronced, but she also has past trauma from previous trainers. After 30 something rides, back to groundwork, and building a relationship with her the bucking stopped. Then add in the phenomenal assistance and work that Payton and Chris have done, we have finally had an extremely big successful breakthrough in Chinas training. They helped us find problem areas that were causing her to not move the way she should be.
China had us questioning what her future might look like, but now she is telling us she is ready to work and become a riding horse. Keep your eyes out, because she will be hitting a jackpot in the near future.!!
Thank you again integrity for everything you have done, and continue to do. I look forward to seeing you guys on your next trip to the area. It’s always a pleasure.
The Crew
As Fallon Taylor says, a horse’s nutrition is key to them looking really really great.
“Routine and nutrition”
After a vet appointment earlier this week, it was great to get feed back about our grain free feed program.!! Our Vet was very interested to hear about our organic forage based feeding program.
As he stated “horses are natural foragers that were born to eat organic plants, they don’t naturally eat grains that is for the convince of humans because we want them to be hotter or fatter, and we’re never intended to be grain eaters.”
I’m so proud of myself for creating what I feel like is the best mixture of crude proteins, essential proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals, pre and pro biotics, added gut health, immune/respiratory support, anti-inflammatory & anti-oxidants, muscle development, joint support & recovery and so many more benefits.
I am so glad that I know exactly what I am feeding our horses, I know what they are ingesting, I know what key needs I am meeting for our horses, and I confidently know I am not giving our horses any additives or fillers.
Ashlyn putting the work in.!!
This girl killed it tonight riding Bentley for the first time.!! I’m so proud of Ashlyn and her willingness to learn.! I’m so glad that I get to have her in my program.!!
Brianna’s First Lope.!!
So proud of this young girl.!!
First time loping Bentley and she did it so well.!! I am so honoured to be this young equestrians coach.!!
Well now that the cold weather has moved along and we’re getting some nicer weather again it’s time to get back to work.!!
Yesterday we put China back to work, and to say I was beyond impressed with the ride we had is an understatement. I was definitely not expecting her to be as well mannered, calm, cool, and collected as she was. China also responded extremely well to the tack change we did. I felt she had progressed in her training that we can begin to get more technical and really develop her foundation so we moved her from a side pull into a little S hack.
I know this mare has a bright future not just with me in the barrel pen, but as a solid mount for her Momma.
For those that have been following Chinas journey, please check out this improvement video.
I’m so proud of how far this mare has come, from bucking / broncing every ride, to now having controlled smooth gaits and transitions.
This is what patience, perseverance, and dedication to an animal will get you. You could label China was a previous throw away, now you can consider well loved mount.
