As many of you know, my passion for animals has always gone beyond just grooming. With each passing year, my desire to make a deeper impact grew stronger. I've felt I can do more to support not only just how your pets look, but how they feel; emotionally, physically, and medically.

To better serve you and your pets, I’ve been studying my certification through the Veterinary Assistant Program to deepen my understanding of animal health, behavior, and preventative care. With a heartfelt shift in focus, I’ve made the decision to step away from grooming, effective July 1st. Please rest assured that all appointments scheduled prior to this date will still be honored. No appointments have been booked beyond July 1st.

This wasn’t an easy decision as I’ve truly cherished the connections I’ve made with both you and your pets since opening 3 years ago. Being trusted with their care has been an honor I’ll never take for granted, I can still be a trusted resource for you, just in a new way.

This decision reflects my passion for animal medicine, my dedication to growing Happy Tails Boutique, and the need to prioritize my time between both paths wholeheartedly and effectively.

My goal with Happy Tails Boutique is to expand the options available to pet owners by offering carefully selected health and wellness products they can trust. I want Happy Tails Boutique to be more than just a store, a space where pet parents feel confident, supported, and informed. I’m passionate about building a community centered around pet wellness, being more actively involved locally, and helping educate others on how to give their pets the healthiest, happiest lives possible.

Though I may no longer be providing hands-on grooming, I’m still here, committed to the Happy Tails mission of helping pets live long, healthy, and joyful lives.

We’re excited to soon share how the former grooming space will soon be reimagined and continue to bring wellness and comfort to the heart of our community.

The spa has moved!! As you may have seen and heard Happy Tails Pet Spa has expanded into retail! It has been a long busy month preparing, and as of today the spa is in the boutiques location!

Happy Tails Boutique is located in the same building as to where the spa was prior to, just two doors over! 469 Anderson Drive!

I am currently fully booked at this time up until July and I still have yet to hear about my schooling hours for July and August, however once I know I will make an updated post!🤗

Happy Tails Pet Spa is expanding into retail!

Happy Tails Boutique Ltd. 🤗

I'm thrilled to announce a big change! After years of dedicating myself to pet grooming, I've decided to shift my focus and open a pet retail store, partnering with the lovely Amanda Hennigar!

This new venture will allow Happy Tails to provide a wide range of high-quality pet products, from nutritious treats, health products, Sparkpaws attire, dog accessories, human attire, home accessories, and essentials for your beloved pets!

To better balance my time while transitioning into my new pet retail venture, I will be reducing my grooming appointments and prioritizing long-standing clients based on seniority beginning in July. (All current scheduled appointments from now to the end of June will stay the same! So don’t worry!)

As I’ll be taking a step back from grooming services, my commitment to helping pet owners remains the same. If you are an existing client, I will be reaching out to confirm ongoing availability no later than the end of April or recommend alternative groomers if needed!

I truly appreciate all of your loyalty and support over the years, I can't wait to welcome you to our new store and continue supporting you and your best furry friends in new ways!

A little personal fact to end the week!

Why I had chose my business name, I promise it’s worth the read!

Of course “Happy Tails” is self explanatory! I always want to see happy tails from all my clients!

However, the term “Spa” has much more meaning than “health giving properties”, in my own words what “spa” means to me;

Sanguine, Patience, Attentiveness

Sanguine; To be optimistic or positive

Patience; The ability to wait

Attentiveness; Attention to all detail, even slight changes

All dogs have their own personality; what makes them happy, and their own possible fears. And honestly, grooming can be one of them!

For example, this handsome little guy came in fairly new to grooming, and his first day was a big day for him! As you can see he isn’t dry, his face doesn’t have a clean trim, as well as some long areas on the body. AND THAT’S OKAY!

I will always put your dogs feelings first; if they’re fearful of something we will try again later in the session with lots of positive reinforcement, if your dog expresses that something is still too scary for them, maybe the next session we’ll get there!

I will always offer a plan with the hope to have your dog become more comfortable with grooming, even if it takes time!

Just look at how far this little guy has come by taking sessions slow, fun and comfortable! He is just one of many clients who have come such a long way! Not only does this apply for dogs who may have fears of grooming, but one of many examples are also the senior dogs who may not be as happy to be groomed as well!🥹

It’s always worth the wait, time and consistency! ❤️

Calling all animal lovers! Our Pet Food Bank program is running very low on food! We are looking for donations of cat and dog food, both dry and wet, to help hungry animals in your community.

The holidays are a hard time for a lot of folks but with your help, we can help make it brighter! All food donations will be sent back into the community to help feed vulnerable and hungry local pets. We will gladly accept all brands of food as long as the bag has not been opened.

Please drop any items off at the BC SPCA Quesnel location at 1000 Carson Pit Road, between the our open hours (Thursday- Saturday 12:00-4:00pm, Sundays and Mondays 11:00-3:00pm) . If that is challenging for you, we also have an amazon wishlist so you can easily contribute from the comfort of your home! Attached is a link to the wishlist.

To all my lovely clients! Just a reminder now that we finally have winter coming!❄️☃️

☃️ Pre booking: My schedule is fully booked through the end of March, and am unable to take any additional appointments at this time. To ensure your pet gets the grooming they deserve, please be sure to message this page in February and secure your spot for April-June appointments.

❄️ Any and all current regular clients; please reach out to my page as well in February as I have so many wonderful regulars it is a lot to reach out to each one of you individually! I look forward to seeing you and your furry friends soon!

🧣 Last minute cancelations: Please be aware that I have a 15-minute grace period for all appointments. As I am fully booked through out the days. If you’re unable to make it within that time without contacting myself, I will have to consider your appointment as a no-show and may charge a cancellation fee. I completely understand that weather conditions can impact travel time, so please allow yourself extra time to arrive safely. Your pet’s safety and yours is my top priority.
